The overwhelming need to make a profound statement
 

I find it interesting, yet I'm not sure I quite understand it yet...

something like the Visa crackdown happens, and suddenly all these people feel they need to say something that will be agreed with. It usually goes like this:

"This is why Visa is doing this... it's the fault of this, this, this, that, and those people. Here I will talk about some philisophical stuff. I will offer my opinion on the overall impact here. I will close strong with a popular and favorable, albeit cliche line or two about the future."

and then lots of people post to provide support and thumbs up for him standing up, being a groundbreaker, taking a stand, and making such a bold statement.

Then the next guy tries to outstate the last guy with a more powerful and moving thread.

Do we need to say & hear these things as a form of security blanket perhaps in these trying times of uncertainty? No one around to reinforce us, so we do it for ourselves?

What I find really interesting is how several of the "big boys" have been forced to make changes in their business models because of shady activity, and yet everyone is ready to congratulate them and say "hey, good job!"

Uhh... hello? "Good job"? For what? Fucking it up for everyone else? Yeh, ok.

Like I said before, this is the perfect opportunity for some of the smaller niche sponsors to take a big step forward. Triple X Cash, Boob Dollars, etc. are just a few of the many programs out there that have quality content and great sites.

I'm not blaming the cookie cutter sites with shitty content... maybe I would have done the same... but to come away acting like angels? Come on...
