They are now ranked the least favorite sport of all Pro and college sports. They could strike if they wish to make matters worse. My guess is owners will start firing them before they ruin entire league.

Besides that, it cost money to "fire" a player; they have contracts with payment clauses.

I look at poll demographics. If the demographic is swayed one way or another then it's a rigged poll. It's not as if they just did one poll. They do them monthly... So it's safe to assume poll over poll results are a telling sign.

4 months ago Espn laid off 100 employees. Many blamed the firings on their NFL deal as they had drastically overpaid and the big ratings dip of last year meant Espn had to lower it's advertising rates. I've never seen baseball ratings higher than the NFL, it happened last week.

Roger Goodell has said in the past players have a right to express their feelings during the national anthem. Now that it has affected the NFL's pocketbook, he's demanding they stand during the national anthem. Nice double standard.
