Most rich Westerners do not travel to Turkey this summer since they are afraid of more shootings or bombings. No one cares about the russians. Turkey suffers due to lack of rich people from Western Europe choosing to go elsewhere.

Normally I would myself choose a place with less russian tourists since they tend to be very noisy, misbehave, often drunk and act like they were alone at the property. Many act like it's their first time abroad and I just hate that.

At least in Antalya airport Russians were the biggest amount.
I read somewhere that there were 318.000 !!! of them just in 2 WEEKS just in that airport last June. And this June, maybe 3600.
In comparison there were like 200-300K Germans last year in that airport during that same time. And maybe 100K of them this year. Also huge decrease, but not as big as Russians.

P.S. I've been to Turkey 5 times and have never seen a vomiting person there. On the other hand, I've seen a lot of those in Miami Beach when it gets dark. You are mixing two things, surely Russians are known for being drunk on vacation, but the fact is that they were VERY VERY VERY VERY important to beach tourism industry in Turkey. Some hotels even did not open at all due to Russians not being there.

I was wondering would someone open thread about apology . Russian turists are maybe annoying but they spend more money then other nations which is why they matter. For example we had a problem when we entered into EU,as it caused decrease of russian tourists as before they didnt need visa to enter.

Russians need visa just about every country they go to. A friend of mine was traveling from US to NZ transiting through Australia. They turned his Russian GF (legal resident in the US) and sent her ass back to Chicago. Turns out she had to have transit visa.

I've looked at visiting Istanbul. As an American, it isn't all that inviting at the airport getting entry for 90 days. There's some payment or some other obstacle to breezing though like in Europe.That and the bombings.

Its nothing special and somewhat waste of time and money. Eastern Europeans used to flood Turkey because its cheap and don't require visa to enter. Those with money prefer other places in Europe and don't need restaurants to have menus is Russian.
