Me too exactly, to the penny.

I don't believe a domain name is worth more than $10. However, you find some idiot who is willing to pay more then sell it. I sold a bondage domain once for $2500. Easy money.

PornDude 09-19-2013 01:46 PM

11.50 I believe :)

Verbal 09-19-2013 02:00 PM

'Snap'd' one for $60 and sold it for $6,500. It's been parked for over 2 years.

Same...it was a BDSM domain we sold to a big westcoast company that initially tried to intimidate/threaten us with trademark infringement (based on a single word in the domain).

Our lawyer brokered a deal and we sold it to them for much more than it was worth. :1orglaugh

MyLiveCamShow 09-19-2013 02:16 PM

Interesting, how important is the domain name to a business?

(Personally I feel 100% important )

I don't understand how you have been in this business since 2001, and still say such stupid comments. I have single domains that make more in a day, than you do in a month, with 0 promotion. So yeah, a domain can be worth more than $10.

Smut 09-19-2013 04:29 PM

I've purchased a domain for $75,000 before.

CAHEK 09-19-2013 04:56 PM

I really wonder how and where you find people so dumb to pay 60K for a domain..? WTF?

Even 10K for a domain is fucking crazy these days.

beemk 09-19-2013 05:40 PM

Most I've paid was around $1,000-$1,500. Most I sold for was $8k.

Ha, yeah. I'm not involved with those blokes. When I had the domain, it was affiliated with the Python Programming language. We always had Python.org, but we got Python.com to start Python Labs (a services company based on hiring the guys behind the Python programming language for consulting services).

shake 09-19-2013 09:11 PM

I think I paid $300 once, sold quite a few up around 10k.

dillfly2000 09-19-2013 09:13 PM

It's still the record for top published .in domain sale - Poker.in. And it was a domain reseller who had bought it - but probably because Poker.de had sold for almost a million a month or so before that. That was around a time when even Poker.crapTLD was selling for $1,500 minimum - definitely not the case now.

FreeHugeMovies 09-20-2013 08:35 AM

Purchased one for 60 bucks sold for 10k. :)

baddog 09-20-2013 08:54 AM

A couple grand, but it was to put someone out of business, so it was well worth it.

x-rate 09-20-2013 09:21 AM

30$... look like lot of people here started way after Netsol were alone lol
