Techtards: Should I get an iPhone 5S or a Galaxy S4?
I've had the same phone for 2 years and I'm available for an upgrade.
Which one should I get? Which one is faster, better reception? etc |
i predict a verbal fistfight within 30 posts...
|
The new features on the 5S look great
|
Galaxy really needs to look into its no reception/connectivity issues
It's a great phone.. except for that whole 'Are you there?' |

why limit yourself to only those 2? are they your only choices for upgrade?

Sometimes I feel like Android is just rampant technology, just for technologies sake. Android has pointless features no one will use

Dork that wants to fuck with every possible setting known to man= Android
Pimp that doesn't mind giving up a little freedom for a phone that runs smoother than a mother= 5S :2 cents: |
Are you a chrome or OSX person?

As a related note, as someone who considers himself a power user, I'm always shocked when I see people who use a computer every day including adult webmasters who use a QWERTY keyboard, Firefox or chrome browser, Outlook or Gmail email and other popular apps etc who don't know anything about fine tuning their user interfaces such as windows shortcut keys and scripts to make their lives easier and work more efficient. I have all kinds of customizations in my apps and I could never go back to laboriously clicking and mousing all over the place to do so much work that I can do quicker by knowing my keyboard shortcuts and setting scripts up. |
I don't know. I have the same dilemma.
I've had 2 Galaxy S phones (not counting replacements) and both, 9-10 months in, started to have a battery that drains fast. 2 had the USB port go bust and be completely unrecognizable to any computer. Then there's the sluggishness/stuttering with Android. Even 4.1 didn't fix it for me. 1GB ram and after I install a 5-6 apps like Outlook, Yahoo mail, TextMe, weather etc a few days later my phone is sluggish. Background processes seem to run in the without even being used. I'd go with an iPhone if it had at least a 4.5". Nokia 925 is another I've added to my list, since the 1020 is only on AT&T. |

Same reasons Im picking between those 2 phones. boom. roasted. |

both are great phones... you can't go wrong which ever you pick... |
I should be picking up my S4 next week.
I wouldn't consider anything else to be honest... |

just get an iphone and be happy. easy breezy. no need to come at people attempting to answer your fucking question. |
|
iphone is for hipsters, people who have no clue about technology and flamboyant homosexuals.Galaxy is for everyone else
|
I've had iPhone 3g, 3gs, 4, 4s, and 5. Last month I sold the 5 and bought the Galaxy S4. It is light years ahead of crapple. Unless you jailbreak your iPhone, then you can't download to your phone from the browser and access the files inside the file system. Android is for everyday usage with life.. Crapple is definitely Starbucks "look at me" mentality.
|
I'd take Samsung :)
|
I have a iphone 5 and I love It but on the other hand I only use It for facebook, calling, skype, instagram and text messages.

The iPhone is One of the Best Android Phones You Can Buy I have both the S4 and the iPhone 5. The iPhone is a superior piece of hardware. There is no debating that. If you want your phohne to work, iOS does it. The only issues I've had have come after jailbreaking it and fucking around with it. I am running the latest iOS 7 developer beta and it quite nice. Android is more flexible, that doesn't apply to the average user. But if you want to do something to change the look and feel of your device, it's fairly easy. This is where you want to be. This is actually the only reason I bought this phone. I can do what I want with this, so that I'm not fucking up my iPhone. If you want the superior device, I say iPhone. The S4 is nice. I'd consider the new Moto X as well. I'd also consider the Moto X. It looks like nice hardware. Nokia's is nice if you want to dive into Windows Phone. |

Copying music and files is as EASY AS DRAGGING into folders with s4. WIth apple, you will have to deal with ITUNES which is a total pain in the asssssssss
|
woj, you forget that crapple fanboys are brainwashed by the cult :)

except slightly smaller dimensions + weight for iphone, I don't see any spec that is better than S4... so lets cut the bullshit, iphone hardware is certainly NOT better... |
