Saddam isn't an idiot..
Saddam would kill Bush in a debate. He's definitely not an idiot.
http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/iraq/main500257.shtml Click on the part that says SADDAM INTERVIEW You can watch the interview with Mr. Rather and Saddam that took place 2 days ago. |
Saddam sounded like an intelligent guy that makes you think he's all for the people but uses his power for his own political and economic gain....he'd make and excellent US Senator.
|
uh i just watched part of it... and hes boasting about how the PEOPLE OF IRAQ elected him in 96 and '01 i believe, with a 99.6% / 100% favor.. according to him its because the people wanted to take a patriotic stance.. bullshit, if they didn't vote for him atleast 50% of their family members would get raped.

... I donīt think you will find many US senators that are responsible for the death of 250,000 people in their state ... |
You guys are all victim of American propaganda. It's hilarious.
First of all you believe that Iraq gassed their own people? haha. Get your facts straight. Bush just says that to gain political support for this war. The truth is, the Iranians gassed the Kurds. http://www.nytimes.com/2003/01/31/op...b6c3c76ea6ffe5 And in addition, you seem to call the Kurds "his own people." You should get another fact straight. The kurds to Iraq are the same as the Palistinians to Israel. You probably all think Iraq is this military might that can harm the US to. Let me freshen up your minds a little bit and show you that all intelligence agencies around the world know that Iraq is NOT a threat. http://news.independent.co.uk/world/...p?story=376732 |
Why do people always expect tyrants to be obvious madmen?
I think its because people need something to differentiate themselves from these guys. They need to convince themselves that since these guys are not really human beings at all.. but evil, alien creatures of an entirely different species.. they.. as normal people.. couldn't possibly harbor the same root desires for domination and control at any cost that causes these mass slaughters. |

What you have to remember is that pre Saddam, the country had little electricity, sanitation, education, hospitals or roads. He gave them something that no one else bothered to. He is not the hated figure Bush would like to have us think. Yes he's a murdering tyrant, but only to those that oppose him. Think through the mind and see through the eyes of your enemy to defeat him. |

Haaaa - you're as silly as saddam..... We have a saying.... He who laughs last - laughs best. In other words - tell me how smart you think saddam is in a month or two... BUT - I guess he IS smart enough to fool you.... :1orglaugh :thumbsup :Graucho |
oh yes hes just so great now, I LOVE SADDAM.

But you have to remember - Every single thing YOU are told is also being told to Saddam at the same time. (He watches CNN too.) And yes - we may not want Saddam to know the truth about everything - therefore - you are going to get some mis-information also... tough shit pal. They'll tell you all about it when they are damn well ready. And uno - you are smart enough to know that. Time to take the bias and partisan out of all this and get behind the troops ? |

Because you do? :1orglaugh Now we see who's feet are firmly planted in mid-air. |
i dont really care whos right or wrong. mmm, the bullshit they feed me tastes good. i'm content being a blind little mislead american. off w/ saddam's nuts already.

Saddam isn't stupid, he's just fucking crazy. Same with Osama Bin Laden, I mean the guy can beat the USA's billion dollar defense budget from a fucking cave. They're both smart, the problem is they're also lunatics.

If it had been done to anyone else, by anyone else, people would probably be referring to it as one of the greatest military coup's in history. |
You have Iraq on one side with Al Sammud missile's that may reach 160KM, 10KM over the limit. Iraq has also allowed inspectors in their country and have cooperated quite well significantly according to Blix's last report. On the other side you have North Korea which has missile's that can reach the US coast (1,120KM), they have pulled out of the non-proliferation treaty, and have kicked out inspectors. You also have North Korea asking the States to bring a war to them!!
But ofcourse, the threat lies in Iraq. lol Are you guys that dense and ignorant that you can't even read those website links I posted above (CIA & MI6 say Iraq isn't a threat, and Iraq didn't gas the Kurds)? They are from reputable media sources, and you still can't believe them.. should I provide more links for you guys? Cause it doesn't seem like anything is getting through to you. CIA & MI6 say Iraq is NOT a Threat: http://news.independent.co.uk/world/...p?story=376732 Iranian Gas killed the Kurds, Not Iraqi: http://www.nytimes.com/2003/01/31/op...b6c3c76ea6ffe5 |

No, Saddam isn't exactly about Utopia.. but there are much bigger threats existing such as North Korea. You must face the fact, Iraq isn't a threat. They just have OIL that Bush and his economy needs. |

I guarantee you anybody else tries to take over another plane with some boxcutters all you'll find is a greasy red spot when it lands safely. |
Bikinihouse what you have in N. Korea is a desperate man talking loudly in order to extort the US into some nice funding that is all.
N. Korea knows full well if they launch a single missle especially a nuke then their lives cease to exist because the world would unleash a hell upon them unlike any country has ever seen before. We are just entering into a new cold war, a scarier one, but a cold war still. |

I'm just saying it's sad that Iraq gets penalized for having missiles that go 10KM to far, and N Korea doesn't when they have ones that go 1,000KM to far. In addition, no interest lies in North Korea, since no oil exists under their land. |

I think you also have a lot of fear in N. Korea, they know what the US is capable of doing (overthrowing their government) and want to do what they can to keep this from happening. Imagine if the Taliban had just turned over Osama Bin Laden they would still be in power. There would still be the weekly executions at the soccer field, daily oppressive beatings of women etc. But because of dogma and pride they lost it all. I think the rest of these countries that Bush and team have labled as "axis of evil," now realize what just may happen to them. Kinda like when Hussein first invaded Kuwait. He thought no one would give a rats ass, and then we spanked his. They are scared, and are showing it. |
Quote:
But really what else did they accomplish? Sure they've got some scared Americans, but they also have the most powerful military in the world seeking their elimination. And not only did they cripple our economy, but damn near everyone else's. And if they happen to do it again, imagine the economic fallout worldwide. |
Quote:
The problem with N Korea has pretty much exisited for the past fifty years. N Korea doens't gas it's own population, and doesn't invade countries and start wars for no reason. We are not questioning their right to have such items, only the fact that they refuse to let anyone inspect them. Iraq invaded a small country and raped it, setting fire to everything as they tucked their tails between their legs and ran home. They surrendered; There were terms to the surrender which they seem to violate on a daily basis. I don't understand Iraq. They are sitting on tons of oil, yet they can't seem to feed themselves. Instead they have a leader bent on taking over the middle east. Whatever. Let's kick their asses already. |
I am not a sympathzer of Saddam, but I laugh loudly at America's hypocrisy when it comes to 'human rights'. I don't mind Bush saying he might attack us as reason for launching an attack. But Bush and the media are using what he does to HIS people as part of why we should go in. I could give a fuck about what he does to his people over there. That is THIER business. I don't see how the US won the pen to write the book on what human rights and freedom is. When did we decide morality for the world?
Let's not forget that in this country all women couldn't vote within some of our lifetime (1920-19th amend.). Let's not forget that segregation was LEGAL during our lifetime. Slavery was mainstay in this country right outside of our lifetime. You say Saddam gasses his people? Have you heard of the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment? http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0762136.html Things like this were taking place here and now that we've just cleaned ourself up a little, we can point fingers. Where were the countries to attack us because they wanted to liberate blacks and women from American opression? Don't be fooled! |

Have you failed to read my posts? Iraq didn't gas their people. lol |

USA and Isreal are the biggest human right violators to date. The UN has already declared Israel with this award, but I think we fail to realise that America is exactly the same.
Does anyone even have a clue to what happened in Yugoslavia? Probably not. Start reading articles, not solely from CNN, but the BBC, Xinhau, the Indpendent, The Toronto Star, etc. then formulate an opinion. There is always two sides to a story, and living in the USA, you are only hearing one. I believe it's in everyone's best interest to keep an open mind... Everyone in here seems to think the USA is always right. It makes me sick. Do you guys honestly believe the USA should bomb Iraq before you see proven evidence that Iraq possess WMD? And why is the USA allowed to have WMD and Iraq isn't? Because Iraq is a nation they think will use the WMD? Folks.. wake up. I have cousins dying in Serbia (yugoslavia) because the USA dropped depleted Uranium in 1999. Don't believe it? I have first hand experience of family in hospitals now... check it out.. and waken up... http://abcnews.go.com/sections/world...ium990503.html http://www.iacenter.org/depleted/du.htm http://www.marxist.com/Europe/uranium.html Ofcourse, CNN won't broadcast this live on TV, because it isn't important enough. lol. But if you search, you'll find it. As fas as I am concerned, the USA is a threat to this world. This is not only proven in Yugoslavia, but will be proven again in Iraq. |
