I am take the WORD literally:
For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones, And a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.

The Bible is not inspired by God. Here's proof, from the Bible itself:

1. Doesn't it strike you as a little odd that the Jews are "God's chosen people" in this book, which was written by (drumroll please)... Jews?

2. The Bible says Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven... do you think God would send all the people to hell that have never even heard of him? What about the Native Americans that didn't know he existed until missionaries got here?

3. In Exodus 20 God commands us not to kill. In Hosea 13:16 and in 1 Samuel 15:2-3 he commands Israel to kill kids. The former being ripped from their mother's wombs. God's perfect, right? Why the contradiction?

I have plenty more if you'd like to debate.
