Misterpeabody - honest question for you
No disrespect, just genuinely interested in your answer.
I see you claiming super ratios of your program, like at the worst 1:1000, usually you claim even better, like 1:500 or something like that. Could you elaborate why your program converts few times better than all the rest? For instance I looked at your "screw wife" site. Sites like that on blog traffic convert 1:5000 for me. You claim at worst 1:1000, meaning 5 times better. What makes your site better than all the others in that niche? What I see and what are cons in my eyes: 1. content is pretty old and generic 2. content looks not exclusive So logic says it should convert even worse than most of the sites in the niche, yet you claim way better conversions. Why? Take it from surfer point of view - why is your site is so much more appealing to surfer? Like I said, I am genuinely curious. |
If you convert at 1:5000 with blog traffic you are doing it all wrong. You can't just go..
xxsitexx.com is the best site in the world, I really like it, check out these whores! And expect it to convert. You need to treat your visitors like real people and not bullshit them. In my experience content is not that important, what is important are the word you use. |
very good question.

However its not the point of my thread, I am curious about why his sites are so appealing to surfers that they maintain such good ratios as he claim. |

You can't compare sponsor ratios with affiliate ratios. Sponsors get the best converions on type-ins, so it is pretty normal to convert below 1:500 with no magical traffic source.

Type-in traffic is the Holy Grail of prospective subscribers, and unfortunately it's the one thing affiliates typically don't get credit for. Which is why affiliates should have links all over the place - not just on their obvious banners & ads, but all in the text, wherever possible. Get the surfer locked with your code before they head up to the address bar and type that domain themselves. I do better than 1:500 with DeltaofVenus.com without any trouble, but type-ins are a factor for sure. |

I am, of course, speaking strictly about affiliate ratios (when he claims what his affiliates does or when he claims that "you should do at least that ratio if you promote my program") |
What a great thread! It gives me a chance to point out some factors that may answer the OP's great question.
First, I have 32 paysites with 17 of them being promoted via my affiliate program. So when I say "1:500 or better" I am not talking about ALL of my sites; some do better some do worse. So generally i am asking affiliates to promote these "top sites": ErosExotica.com TouchTheBody.com FelluciaBlow.com ScrewMyWifeClub.com TheArtofHandjobs.com Bollywood-Nudes.com Those are the top sites but these also do well: ChubbyBlondy.com MILFMia.com SexxyBrandon.com DutchFantasies.com ParodyBros.com The first group gets about 1:400 while the second group does about 1:800-1:1000. But why do surfers join my sites when some of the content is, indeed, "older" (even SD over HD)? Simple: 1. Join 1 site, get 32+ sites plus daily-updated bonus content 2. The whole 'Mister Peabody World network' vibe is fun and playful and unique 3. While the content may be everywhere - like with Screw My Wife Club, which comes from the 'Screw My Wife Please' DVD line (98 titles) or ParodyBros, which comes from a line of great porn parody DVDs - it's presented in a fun, new way (join the Screw My Wife CLUB - everyone wants to be part of a club; change one word, change everything) 4. When a surfer hits a tour like this they are coming "pre-sold" so i get them to the Join page immediately: http://www.erosexotica.com/index1.html For "readers" from Blogs they hit a page like this: http://www.touchthebody.com/index1.html So basically here's the answer: simple but effective tours, content presented in a unique, fun way, added Bonus sites for value and Member retention. oh - and I add a new website to the network about 6-8 times a year so Members continue to get value and see content that is new to them (while not necassarily "new"). Signup below! LOL :) |

Can y'all really not see how his network is different? It's in the marketing. Dude makes me want to sign up for that Eros Exotica stuff and I'm a jaded paysite reviewer.

Don't let Mr. Peabody fool you. He makes it sound simple. The fact is he works his ass off every day promoting his network. He is a master at building traffic and analyzing its effectiveness. He is constantly tweaking and fine tuning his product. His hard work pays off. That is the part that is simple. A good salesman can sell anything especially in this market. Exclusive content only counts to someone that has seen it all.
|
solution is to sell something you can blog intelligently about
|
More then anything I would ask the guys who own the sites how they do?
I can figure out how he does and good for him...and honestly it is a good business plan. I see it as free money for people who have content and get residual income. Who cares what the conversions rates are in the end if it makes you money whats the difference..try it and see if it works for you. |
exclusive content doesn't affect ratios. over used content affects ratios.

Im a webmaster, and a surfer. I make a few 100's each month, on a hobby level. When i have figured out how to make more than a cpl of 1000 each month, i'll quit my job. But im still a newbie. Im learning!
Im also a a surfer. I read every now and then, "you need to think as a surfer/visitor, not as a webmaster". Ok, that's exactly what im trying to do, trying to figure out how to make enough money to go fulltime. Here's a few things: My "niche of choice" is amateurs and/or hairy. Natural girls, pure and simple. Abbywinters, girlsoutwest, ATK hairy etc, that's exactly the kind of sites i'd be happy to spend money with. And that's exactly what i do. I've been a member for almost two years on both sites. And there's a simple reason. They give me exactly what i want! - Lots of content (they got alot of exactly what i want) - They update (they give me more, and thats the reason i let them charge my visa again after 30 days) It's simple. That's the two reasons why i joined, and why i stay. If was to search google for the kind of things im looking for, i'd type something like 'natural hairy girls'. Im in sweden and the top 5 results are some youtube crap. The first adult result is http://hairy.amkingdom.com/02/ PERFECT! I would have joined in under two minutes if i was'nt already a member. That being said, I dont buy that "Join one site and get 50 bonus sites"?! That's totally irrelevant! Maybe it's just me. If i look for a site that has content that turns me on, hairy/natural girls in my case, that is what i want. I could care less if you give me access to your ass-to-mouth site, your double penetration site and your this or that site. Thanks, that's very generous, but i dont care. It's not the niches that im looking for. As i said, maybe it's just me, but the BONUS sites thing, that alot of sponsors use as a sell argument, doesnt do shit for the surfer in me. Why not cut down the site portfolio to five sites with ten times the amount of content you have now? Anyway, that was me thinking as the surfer in me. As a webmaster im still at a cpl of hundred bucks each month, so im obviously doing something wrong. Haha... |

Some of the other desperate oh my god world is ending threads were exaggerations, too? |
MisterPeeBody is full of shit.
Ask him to post a screenshot of his 1:500 ratios. He can't. It's just a plot to lure in affiliates. |

And no you do not need 5000$ to live in the states, more than 80% of Americans do not earn that. Even 2000$ would be probably more than many blue collar workers earn. |
