There are Ashkenazi, Sephardim, Mizrahim, Ethiopian Jews, even jews from India, etc., etc....moreover, with Jews intermarrying at a rate of almost 50% in the U.S., the diaspora looks increasingly diverse.

Yes, there are a significant number of jews who share common physical characteristics, but this has more to do with what part of the world they're families immigrated from, such as Germany or Eastern Europe, or whatnot. I have plenty of Jewish friends who are mistaken for being Italian, even by other Jews (including myself). So I'd say it's gross generalization to say we can all tell eachother apart.
