Breaking Bad: Why?

Just ran out of series to watch and tried Breaking Bad... Bleh, Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh .... the most stupid and boring crap. What is it that makes it's so popular? 2 episodes in a row showing an indecisive turd trying to grow up?

You should probably get rid of your TV then.

Konda 09-12-2012 09:05 AM

It starts off pretty slow, but just keep watching. It's the best TV series every made, it keeps getting better and better all the time

Awesome.

I've enjoyed all the seasons so far but definitely not all the episodes. I've watched "Salud" about a dozen times. So far it's my favorite episode.

mineistaken 09-12-2012 10:12 AM

I disagree, for me first season was the best, it was more real. Now they just added unnecessary action like in most series. For the so called "build up", but whats too much its not good.
All being said Breaking Bad is probably in top5 of all time (after wire, sopranos, oz)
And that being said - it does not mean that everybody will like it. You don't like it and its cool, just start watching something else.

Horny Dude 09-12-2012 10:27 AM

Yeah, it takes a few episodes to get going. When I first jumped on it I was a little disappointed, but it really starts gaining steam after that and pulls you in.

O MARINA 09-12-2012 10:32 AM

Have not seen this yet. Why is everyone so obsessed with it.

Bcs webmasters are stoopid.

bronco67 09-12-2012 10:38 AM

All I can say is, adjust your expectations and go along for the ride -- you will not be sorry if you give it a chance.

and I disagree about the "slow" episodes. Almost every episode is great in a different ways. If you like giant splosions and car crashes, then it might not be for you.

if you're just trolling, then never mind.

Trolling?

I like Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Lie To Me, Lost... even frigging Weeds is more alive then BB...

I agree with this, even the slow episodes serve a needed purpose in telling the story. The writing is incredible and often later on they'll reveal information that better helps you understand a prior episode. I don't really see how you can watch the first episode and call it "slow", it grabs you from the beginning. If you aren't very intuitive, struggle with character development and just want to see cgi with a weak plot, then maybe BB isn't for you.

Ride it out it's a great show that is how it is written. For instance if you watch closely enough you notice that every time Jessie encounters a kid his life changes dramatically.

Some people are a little to thick to appreciate the nuance of such a great show.

Especially the last one (motorcycle boy).

season 4 sucks ass

candyflip 10-08-2012 08:46 PM

Didn't take me any time to get into it. I was hooked from the opening scene.

World shattering news:

Not everyone likes the same thing.

L-Pink 10-08-2012 08:53 PM

I liked him better in Malcom In The Middle.

Horny Dude 10-08-2012 08:55 PM

Facebook is <--------- that way :2 cents:

sojproductions 10-08-2012 10:36 PM

the end of season 4 is the best end to any tv show ever, i wish they had left it there - you should watch it just to get to s4, you'll regret it if you dont!

AllAboutCams 10-08-2012 10:46 PM

I love it one of the best shows out there

Diomed 10-09-2012 12:01 AM

Never watched a single episode of it.

Sarah_Jayne 10-09-2012 09:16 AM

It gets good from the second episode. It gets great from the time he blows the building up. So, if you don't like it now, step away and go back to the Jersey Shore marathons.

I like Breaking Bad, but the best show I have ever watched is ''The Wire''

Have you seen it?

CyberHustler 10-09-2012 09:19 AM

Best show ever. A GFY thread turned me on to it.

The thing about the Wire is that all the Wire evangelists are annoying UNTIL you have watched it and then you know they are right and start being one yourself.

Mr Pheer 10-09-2012 09:31 AM

I watched some of the first season because my girlfriend likes it. Actually, I watched the first episode... and about 15 minutes of the second episode... and that was enough. Personally I dont get how people can sit and watch a bunch of shit on tv all the time, night after night.

I watch one or two hours of TV per week. Hell on Wheels just ended, and Walking Dead starts next sunday. So at least until Walking Dead is over, I'll keep watching one hour of TV per week.

And its not really an hour because I DVR it and then fast forward through the commercials.
