What are the upgrades?

I've heard a rumored release date of 9/21 with the announcement and pre-orders coming on 9/12.

I am due for an upgrade. The new iPhone is really going to have to impress, with the Galaxy S III being the amazing phone it is.

I'm more excited about the idea of a 7'' iPad.


Most are probably software based, so any phone that will run iOS6 will get those too. The biggie on the hardware side is a larger 16:9 ratio screen.

Glad to hear its a 16:9 screen. I never understood why it was slightly off.

My current phone is iPhone 4, not iPhone 4S. (No Siri). The commercials for Siri look so damn cool I can't wait to play with it.

As stated, it's going to be announced on 12 September, with pre-orders available that day, shipping 21st September.

It will have same width, but increased height, adding effectively an extra row of app icons.

It's also moving away from the 30 pin connector, so new leads are needed (should ship with adaptor in box).

It has to have LTE, should have NFC too.

Unibody chasis.

I'm sold. My only hope was it was slightly bigger. I like iPhone, it isn't the best phone on the market but for me it does the job very efficiently. So long as my phone can get email, browse the web, have good apps, make calls and send texts, I'm fine.. oh and also so long as it isn't a Blackberry.

Same here. I will get this upgrade. I would not what to do without my iphone.

If Siri is what gets your motor revving you should get an Android with Google Now since it outperforms Siri.

Mine is the very first, old-ass, original iPhone 2G from 2008.

It's pretty worn out. I don't believe in upgrading with every damn new version, but it's due. It doesn't ring anymore - the vibrate switch broke - so it just vibrates now. Most of the apps won't work on it. The phones have come so far since then. It'll be nice to come out of the dark ages of smartphones. I'll probably go with the iP5.

Some people are definitely BRAINWASHED with MAC and APPLE SHIT in their HEADS to the point that they always believe that MAC and APPLE is superior to anything else.

That's a shit load of "BRAIN-WASHED SLAVES."

Bigger screen, quad core processor, more RAM, skinnier, LTE, completely revised connection port, iOS 6 with 200 new features, and a battery that will kick ass. All of that is almost assured. Putting it amongst the most modern updated phones and ahead of it's biggest competition the Galaxy S3. Which btw is coming to the U.S. WITHOUT the quadcore processor found in the European version (battery issues?)

AND they will more than likely drop the "new number added to the end" in favor of just calling it 'the new iPhone', just as they did with the iPad.

But of course you'll ignore everything I said above and just label me a sheep.

the iPhone 4 was my very first quality phone and I absolutely don't regret buying it. These apple products give me the hope that everything in the visions of Asimov, Lem, Gibson and so on could be Reality one day. The iPhone could be faster and 16:9 could be great too. iP5 is instant buy for me. :pimp

Most software I use doesn't work properly with MAC.

same as HARDWARE.. Last month I bought a LOGITECH HD WEBCAM and it doesn't work with MAC, but works amazing with Windows... and no, its not the webcam faults.

MAC SUCKS for people who want CUSTOMIZATION...

But for people that never opened a Computer case in their lives or that never detached a CPU to change the vacuum grease of the dissipator, yeah.. they are all MAC ADDICTS that will pay OVER-PRICED gadgets.

I've used both PC's and Macs, and I prefer PC's.

I've had all kinds of phones from different manufacturers like LG, Samsung and Motorola, and I prefer iPhones.

In other words, I (and probably a few others here) have tested all kinds of brands. Have you? Have you even walked into an Apple store? If not, then your opinion has no value.

Can you open a MAC CASE and CUSTOMIZE it the way you want? Alter the motherboard, add any addition boards/chips you want? Put more memory on your own, and change anything in the HARDWARE?...

Keep buying OVER-PRICED apple or mac stuff thinking its the best.. oh, and go to starbucks with your apple, thinking you are the best... LOL.

Having a MAC or apple won't make you work better, earn more money or be more successful.. IN FACT you would be more succesful if you had a PC and you learned to customize it on your own.. But you are too lazy for that.. RIGHT?

LOGITECH C910 HD Webcam... It's an amazing Camera and works amazing with Windows 7 or Windows XP. I tested on pc and notebook.

Check the youtube videos, of people with MACs complaining that it doesn't work with MAC. :1orglaugh
