Nice

RedPass Platinum Card (concierge and travel service)
RedPass Millionaires Club Card

epitome 12-13-2011 01:29 AM

Much better fees than Paxum.

Would be nice to swipe my card and not pay a dollar.

The other night despite entering my billing information correctly three times, my card was declined. I was assessed a fee each time.

I thought I was done with Paxum but a payment came in.

I hope everybody adopts RedPass.

They also have 50c fees for declined ATM withdrawals and balance inquiries but they have FREE POS transactions (and no fees for declined) for both stores and internet, which is great! :winkwink:

TubeSubmitters 12-13-2011 01:43 AM

Wow Redpass is really open!!!!

tgpmaker 12-13-2011 01:52 AM

WOW great site

femdomdestiny 12-13-2011 02:16 AM

restaurants

Transactions that take place at restaurants are authorized for the amount of the meal purchase plus 20% to ensure that you have sufficient funds available to pay for the purchase amount plus a gratuity. This is necessary as the Merchant does not know the total amount of the transaction until you add your tip (which occurs after the transaction is authorized) and RedPass does not know the total amount of the transaction until that time.

femdomdestiny 12-13-2011 02:23 AM

sponsors

Now Redpass definitelly need a page with a listing of sponsors that are using them.
I've just renewed my paxum card but $0 fees for POS transaction will probably make me order their card.

Eyeball 12-13-2011 02:59 AM

Great news, signed up. Looking forward to seeing what sponsors are planning on using this.

OneWhoKnows 12-13-2011 03:07 AM

Much better fees than Paxum? WTF?

Pro Redpass:
- No POS Transaction fee

Pro Paxum:
- Cheaper ATM Withdrawal Fee
- Cheaper P2P Transfer fee ($0.25 Paxum vs. $1 RedPass)
- Slightly cheaper yearly fee for MasterCard
- No Account Balance Limit
- afaik no minimum amounts for current account deposit and card load

Other than the points above the fees and conditions are pretty much the same and both have their MC issued by Choice Bank. So why the hell should I switch over from one system that almost everyone uses now and which has earned a really good reputation within its first year to a completely new system? Not to forget that its launch was delayed almost a year.

Nah, sorry. Already way too much plastic in my wallet right now.

Maybe keeping it low while they check it all over, rather than having any flaws... Looks good to me though :2 cents:

I prefer to use Paypal for receiving money from sponsors now that they allow it. I don't see the point in signing up with Paxum or Redpass and paying some stupid annual fee and putting up with ridiculous verification policies. Not to mention having to trust yet another company post-epassporte in this crooked industry.

Sponsors- I wish more of you would pay via Paypal. I especially dislike the ones which have no checks or ACH but only have Paxum. Now I'm sure we'll see much the same now with the other half only having Redpass. Forcing many of us to have both. It just seems stupid and a waste to me when Paypal works great for receiving money from you.

To stop all speculation. It were a test page to ensure we covered different important issues in the FAQ and since I did part of the FAQ at ePassporte I used old data and that page will not be there when we go live.

Shame on you posting refs fuckers.

journalism 12-13-2011 06:27 AM

Why does their domain sounds epass and redpass? is there any similarity or are they the same owner? Or mallick just hiding himself into that company?

Just asking.

Chosen 12-13-2011 07:02 AM

Taken from their FAQ:
What is the software needed to make p2p?
Quote:

For security reasons you will have to install the RedPass OTP program to be able to make p2p transfers, the first installation is free, additional installations are $ 50.00 (Personal) , $ 50.00 (Business) per installation.
So prepare to pay to Redpass each time you re-install your operating system if you want p2p transfers.
Also pay them if you want to make transfers from multiple computers.

PayPal's fees are ridiculous, and their verification policies aren't much better than anyone elses.

Dubya 12-13-2011 07:23 AM

i much prefer redpass over paxum already.

Sorry :) The wording looked far too familier when i was reading it. I'm looking forward to the official release and hearing what sponsors are on board.
