Never seen before pics of the WTC tragedy
This shit still hits hard as hell ten years later. These pictures will show you a side you didn't see. What fucking monster would do this shit?
http://ggurls.com/images/gossip/911-wtc8.jpg http://ggurls.com/images/gossip/911-wtc11.jpg http://ggurls.com/images/gossip/911-wtc7.jpg http://ggurls.com/images/gossip/911-wtc2.jpg The rest are on the site, it's eleven pictures, didn't feel like posting them all. The one picture with all the people clinging to the side of the building is sad as fuck. |
Utterly amazing.

ugh - why did i click - the photos of people jumping have freaked me out for the 10 years since, any time 9/11 gets mentioned the images just come to me and make me weak - unimaginable horror
you'll never hear a peep from me in all these political threads about Bush and the wars - would not bother me one bit if the Middle East was nuked into oblivion. good people die every day, not going to worry about ignorant hate filled failures who have declared war on us. |

Looking at these pics again, make me want to punch that asshole Media Guy in the face for complaining about the added coverage 10 years later in the media.

What a horrible thing, the very last moments of your life you're given 2 choices. Do I die by being burned to death, or do I die from impact. I always hoped for the choice of dying in my hospital bed or going home and dying in my own bed, dying at home or wondering into the woods and dying as a part of the world I was born from, dying with family and friends or alone, choices that are expected, and that have some peace and comfort.
Those poor souls, I can't imagine how terrified, and alone they felt during those final moments. |

Unfortunately, society has a very short memory when it comes to tragic events. A year goes by and it's just a faint memory, we are still upset about it because we've become conditioned to be upset, but we (and I use we as a generalization of society as a whole) aren't really sure why. Reminders like this are good, however morbid. I'm young enough and was far enough removed from what happened in New York not to really have had a major psychological impact from it. Even being in Arizona though, I along with my family felt the effects of it. My father ran a travel/vacations company (a subsidiary of a MAJOR airline) that was incredibly profitable pre-9/11, and not too long post-9/11 they closed their doors and my family moved out of state as my dad took another job. A lot of people over dramatize their reaction about what happened, but I think we all felt it in some sense of the word. Some lost family, friends, co-workers. Others lost their homes. People lost their jobs. It being ten years or ten days or ten decades after the fact shouldn't matter. What should matter is that we remember that day not for what it was, but for what it should teach us as a nation. We are so comfortable and removed from the hatred and violence elsewhere in the world, and were reminded that it can be delivered right to our doorstep. Frankly we're all lucky (not that it happened, but in general). That was the first significant attack on US soil since 1941. And there hasn't been a war fought primarily on US soil since the civil war. People in many other countries have been fighting wars for hundreds of years. It's all they know. I'm not one to say that we should be sensitive and all hippy-like going around hugging everybody, but a little understanding goes a long way in bettering ourselves. |

How can the world be so fucked up of a place that people do shit like this and think they've accomplished something good..? |

it would not bother me one bit if every asshole like you was forced to jump from a building twice as high on to 10 ft spikes i love how all of you love saying things like 'how can people do this?' but the fact that it was a small group of extremists doing it versus what your government does daily on a mass level do you think people in the middle east don't burn to death? how many pictures do you want to see of children burned to a crisp by american bombs? small babies burned to death by american weapons dont ask yourself how can people do this - ask yourself how can WE do this - stop making 9/11 a reason to be racist and ignorant of what the US does in the world every day, 9/11 is childs play compared to what people in the middle east have gone through at the hands of americans |

That is a natural reaction, and it was the intended reaction which the madmen that perpetrated this horrible crime wanted. The countries they were from didn't want a war with the US. It's important to keep in mind that the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia (15), UAE (2) Egypt (1) and Lebanon (1). We haven't attacked any of those countries. Anyway, I'm pretty sure the Al Qaeda terrorists had a similar mindset about the U.S., as you have towards them, when they lashed out indiscriminately at civilian targets. The human cost has been enormous in terms of injuries and deaths among combatants and non-combatants (civilians) alike, for all involved (both allies and enemies). The money we have spent in avenging 9/11 over nearly 10 years now, has been crippling to the US economy as well. When you add up all of the costs - spending for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, creation of the massive new Dept of Homeland Security, etc, all while cutting taxes on the wealthy, it's not hard to see where much of the federal budget deficit came from. Not everyone in the Middle East is a terrorist or even anti-USA. I would venture to say that most people in the Middle East still do not wish to have a war with the USA, even though we have been conducting combat operations in the Middle East for nearly a decade (and let's not forget Abu Ghraib, no WMDs, Rendition, Torture/Water Boarding, Guantanamo, Blackwater, and the list goes on and on). I think it's time to move forward with beginning to stand down, and to get most of our troops home as expeditiously as possible. Many of our troops have been on multiple tours. One of my longtime neighbors has done half a dozen tours in the Middle East now, and he tells me that the troops are pretty much sick of the whole business, and they don't get much more patriotic then my neighbor - he actually volunteered for most of his tours. We can debate about the size and composition of the troops going forward, but the important thing is to move forward smarter. Among the primary reasons the Soviet Union collapsed is due to the huge amount of military spending on the arms race, and in fighting a decades long protracted guerilla war in Afghanistan. Let's not make that same mistake. Give peace a chance... :) ADG (US Navy Veteran, 6 years) |
I was driving into NYC that day and something told me I had to turn around, at the time I was living in NJ that day was the 1st fight Turboface and I had. He wanted to go into the city as we were more than half way there. Thank god I was driving or we would have been right there in the middle of that shit.

Can you just survived a commercial airliner crashing into your building, ALL the exits to escape are completely blocked and your last hope is a gaping hole in the side of a building (which was caused by a boeing 747?)..... Then you jump. That was one brave soul right there, a tragic loss. |
GGurls, when I hit your link I get this "Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL"

all death sucks.. sucks even worse that after being attacked we went on a rampage and killed thousands and thousands of innocent women, children and elderly that had nothing to do with 9/11, sucks even worse that we still haven't learned from the mistakes we have made and continue to kill more innocent people , all in the name of revenge.

The United States is how old? Nothing but rocks, trees, lakes, desert, plains - and in just over 200, not 2000, years look at what was produced. Take a look at what's been produced in Israel in less than 100 years. The Middle East is an embarassment to mankind. It's like the mentally ill or alcoholic person in a family who is the tail that wags the dog and brings down everybody else to their level. Here's an interesting question, why do these people worry so much about anything, they're all true believers, like the cretons who flew into the WTC who believed there were 40 virgins waiting for them in heaven after carrying out the deed? We have religious freedom here, if you took a poll on GFY asking who believes in an afterlife as conjured up by religious fundamentalists the number would be laughable it would be so small. We care about this life, the only life we are given, and we don't want it spoiled or cut short by a bunch of cretons who for all intent and purpose are still living in 2000 BC. Except of course for the whore mongering terrorist funding cocksuckers who won the oil lottery. I don't want to see children and the common man and woman die - not in the Middle East or anywhere BUT jesus christ.................. |

The Palestinian people are held in the world's largest open air prison. They aren't allowed to get things that me and you use every single day. Their economy isn't allowed to take off and their infrastructure is constantly being bombed and razed. How are Palestinians supposed to do anything in those conditions? When countries like the US are supporting tyranny and dictators how do you expect the Arab people to do anything but survive? Seems to me without owning people, the United States is nothing. Slavery started you, and the end of slavery on an international level will finish you. And the end is soon for the US, it is clearly written and laid out for everyone to see. Sure the US has all this flashy shit but I can go to the bank right now and get all a loan and buy all sorts of flashy shit, doesn't mean it's mine. The almighty US is a failing experiment, and while the Middle East has lasted through thousands of years, the United States is bound to fail before 300 years of its history has run through. Your racism is disgusting. It is on par with the way Hitler thought about Jews and even worse than the way your grandparents thought about their black slaves. When your great grandfather was thrusting in and out of a black slave as he raped her, he probably was having the same thoughts you are having now. Who is this 'we' you talk about? Are you saying white people? Or Americans? Because if you think that Americans don't believe in the afterlife the same way that people in the Middle East do then that's just laughable. Your top politicians are highly religious and believe they will go to heaven or hell when they die and that's not to mention the vast majority of Americans that believe in the same thing. Last of all, you need to rethink who it is that brings everybody down to their level. The Middle East minds itself, it is countries like the US who bring murder and torture to those countries. When is the last time a Middle Eastern country attacked the US on US soil? Never. Mankind isn't embarrassed by people living in peace, it is embarrassed by a bunch of savages who got where they were by stealing, raping, slaving, murdering and nuking people into submission, not to mention the overwhelming racism that still exists till this day in the US. Go on though, keep being a racist, keep advocating the mass murder of an entire population because of their race. You would make your rapist great grandfather proud. |
moeloubani you are fucking deep! and correct... People think the US is so mighty and actually are sneaky as hell... I don't like the people who orchestrated this tragedy but of course that don't mean all the middle east is bad...
