That's an obvious one and something that has been a problem for the entire time the industry has been around.

I would go with a more realistic option of lowering the barrier to purchasing content to a point where it was an impulse buy.

Censor yes - but an industry trend to censor even overly aggressive trailers and previews on sites. You don't see porn mags giving away the surprise on the cover. You buy to see it :P

I would make it more difficult for assholes to get into the business
Make it more like opening a B&M business
But I'd never want the govt to be trusted with regulating it, it'd be a huge violation of our rights, and so it will never happen unless the people in the biz wise up and work together which will never fucking happen anyway

Also I think maybe some day the control of the net won't be in the hands of a few companies like google and everything. I think the major dominance of traffic by a couple of things will not go on forever

Like we have 100s of television networks (that will also die) we'll have many portals into finding data/content online

What precedent does doing nothing create?

Porn existed long before the Internet and for those in it was much more profitable. Porn outside the Internet exists in a world where it's censored. So why does censoring the Internet mean the end of porn?

In my time producing porn I've learned men will jerk off to anything. From the softest of glamor images to a full 20 minute hardcore DP, Bukake Gang Bang. Removing the 20 minute scene still leaves the softcore. Reducing galleries to 20 images still leaves the possibility of the consumer collating lots of different images to jerk off to in a slide show.

The biggest problem today is the cost of throwing out endless amounts of free jerk off material.

Now this is a man who understands how to run a business. Including keeping the government out of it. They are not to be trusted. Yet all these broke ass jokes are always crying to get them involved.

Without it getting very expensive to open a website or get into the Adult Internet business, Government regulation across the world is the only option. Or maybe Visa regulation which flies in the face of less control by a few companies.

Wouldn't it be nice if there were less control, less laws and less regulation covering the Internet. It would mean less people breaking laws, because there would be less laws to break. IE more piracy.

I don't want to trust Governments to regulate the Internet. However I see what has happened today with the lack of effective regulation and without it I don't see it improving.

the internet is just a medium, roger is taking about changing free speech to a level that you can censor porn on a medium, guess what that change would exist across all mediums. Hell it would be anti competitive if it did not.

Oh and to answer the question... I would get rid of all the cry babies who think the world owes them something because they produce or sell smut.

One of my sponsors censors their content.. Their conversion ratio is almost 2x that of their comparable competitor. But yeah, the one thing I'd change if it was possible is limiting how much free porn is available and censoring it. But this business is no longer about the "porn", it's about the traffic. Hasn't been about content for a very long time now.
