I honestly can't remember but I can remember the first time I saw the 'web' vs the BBS world or newsgroups. I think I might have looked up something about Rocky Horror because if would gel with the person that showed me a web page for the first time.

I did too. Altavista was the shit back in the day. I think I remember something about them back in the late 90's that they let their domain drop or some shit and some schmuck picked it up and sold it back to them for like 20 million or something. This was before cybers quatting laws and what not.

first search on the newsgroups pre-web was along the lines of dirty stories. when netscape 1.0 finally arrived, i used wwworm to seach for some Genetics stuff for one of my uni classes.
