So I wrote to Missy Suicide concerning my SewersideGirls.com site. I had the idea to use it to become an affiliate and in this day and age and economy she shot me down. Back to the drawing board.

Dear Missy,
You've undoubtedly heard of Sewerside Girls.com. I've twice tried to turn this into an "SG parody site", but due to time restrictions and funding, have been unable to do so. I've owned the domain since 2006. I'm a full time stand up comic, but the economy here is absolutely horrible, so I have a bunch of free time on my hands. I would like to get the ball rolling again and make Sewerside Girls a hit this time.

I would like to accomplish this by using it as an affiliate site for Suicide Girls only. No other sites would be advertised. It would be 100% SG.
This may be against your affiliate rules, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask you. I'd guarantee that the site would be tastefully done, funny and hopefully profitable for us both.

If not, I'll just sell the domain and move on, but I'm looking for any and all avenues to make a few dollars right now and I think this would be perfect.

Could you please let me know if this project would be something you're interested in giving me your blessing on?

The domain is three years old. I have used it as a God's Girl affiliate in the past. No problems on my end and nice linkage from Fleshbot. It was shut down for awhile, so I lost my PR. (It was a 3)

As long as it is a parody, you are clear to run with that site. Just need to find other content for it.

Just do it anyway, make fun of them mercilessly, and promote their competitors. They come across like assholes, and it's their loss.

I may just bring it back to promote God's Girls. Not sure at this point. I don't want to have to keep looking over my shoulder for lawyer's letters. As fun as it would be, I don't need the aggravation. :)

Since they sell their content, couldn't you just use that, and then promote whoever you wish?

Beyond the phonics, I don't see what Sewer Side has to do with Suicide. I know you planned on doing a parody, but if I ran the domain I think I'd be promoting drunk chicks or crack whores.

a little advice, Ive seen SG's strict photographers releases and Ive shot and been friends with a few SG girls, SG takes legal shit rediculously seriously. Now that they are aware of you and your domain I think it would be a very bad call to pursue it, unless you enjoy getting cease and desists. not a particularly funny idea anyway.

Even without a parody claus, SEWER-SIDE (like Pool Side) doesn't have to have anything to do with Suicide

Why would it have to? suicide girls is just chicks with tattoos and piercings, nothing to do with suicide. Fill me in If I missed something about the site

I suppose I could do that, but the idea was to have a mainstream comedy site with no nudity. (Just models posing as white trash chicks) and promote Suicide Girls to get some traffic from poor spellers. I really thought it would be a good marriage. :(

Hey garce. (Love your avatar, btw) The original idea was to have content with all girls on the toilet. I just thought it made sense and all with the name. Like this chick below who I named "Crapnea" after the very well known Suicide Girl, Apnea.

Funny, I wonder what their issue is? I talked to Missy like a week or two ago because some surfers of mine were requesting certain SG sets and she set me up with a free SG account and gave me the go-ahead to make my own galleries and stuff with just basic rules like amount of photos from each set and so on. It was way easier than I expected, given how much hate they get on here.

Maybe they just didn't like the domain name or she interpreted the comic bit as you'd be making fun of SG... eh, whatever, it's her prerogative.

Not really a surprising response.
