I think its not healthy doing it for to long & need to change my life drastically. Been doing this 10 years and im 39 now. I have a diploma in Hotel Bar management and worked in several hotels before doing this Adult stuff. I've made good income but now its time for a change... im not happy with my life... I like to get a respectable job where I dont need to hide to my family & friends what I really do for a living. PORN is not something to be proud of.

you guys have any Idea what route should I take? pls be nice hehehe;) Im sure allot of people are in the same shoes like me.

Go for the hotel route,that's if you enjoy that.doing something you like is important

first find the replacement career and lock it down before dumping the porn one. Makes it alot less stressful.

i'm not terribly proud of it but i'm not unproud of it either. when i do a good job of something I feel good, whether it's cleaning a toilet or making a webpage.

A nice chunk of hotel revenue comes from in-room porn movie rentals.

Escorts turn tricks in hotels, and porn is filmed in hotel rooms sometimes too.

Maybe work for an industry that will give you more respect... like Big Oil, Tobacco, Liquor, Gun Sales, or Big Pharma.

Yeah probably better to take care of Hotels... Only have to deal with smelly hookers being brought in, drunks at the bar, drugs in the room, late parties, cleaning ladies stealing, people that stay stealing, late night complaints about pubes in the bed. Your thinking of a dump lol . I worked in a hotel as a night auditor as a young man. It was mostly business travelers and pretty boring actually.I enjoyed it but it paid pretty shitty.

I would never do a job I didn't like. Economy is lousy for bars and restaurants right now. Good luck. Try taking your job and doing it in the mainstream world. If ur a webmaster there are plenty of non-adult websites. If your a photographer I make great money on the side working at the wineries and vineyards in my area (I hate weddings). Put on your thinking cap instead of giving up. Get on it Bubba!

Here is my advice and it may not be worth much, but it is how I believe. Decide what you are passionate about and pursue that. Do that while you are still in porn and see if there is a way for you make a living doing what you are passionate about. Since you will still have income you won't be pressured for money and you can take your time and find the right situation.

If you find you can make a living doing whatever this is you will be ten times happier than you are now because you will be making money and doing something you love.

If you just get another job chances are eventually you will burn out on it and feel the same way you do now about porn.

Someone once told me, "Do what you love and the money will follow."

I have been in the industry since 97 and am about your age. I agree with you its not really something I want to be doing much longer. I got out for a while then got back in. The industry isn't what it used to be either. Alot more out there willing to stab each other in the back. Firget about what you think about porn and its morality. It's more the backstabbing/shaving etc etc that goes on. It is getting tougher to make a buck in the adult industry and that is making us all meaner! People I used to deal with in the past I dont even want to talk to anymore on this forum. Not because of what they have done/said to me personally but because of stuff they say to others here. After so many years in this industry I dont think you can help but become jaded.

After 33 years I'm thinking it's time to get a new job. LOL

Now I have to find a job for a 60 years old who sits at home all day.

I think porn is going to stay no matter what happens. Lock yourself into a replacement job first before doing anything drastic. That's my 2 cents worth. Take care.

PORN was good enough to feed you and your family for years.
it depends on what you´ve done in porn .
if you have worked with good programs and have promoted legal porn then it is O.K. .
but if you have pushed animal porn or somthing like that...yeah,then you are right, you can´t be proud!
anyway,i don´t have a bad taste to speak about what i am doing.
my family knows it,my friends knows it,they respect what i am doing and some of them want to be involved.

You shouldent have to hide the fact that u work in porn from your family I told my family when I first started and they are fine with it.

I would go for what u already know and have experience in specially in the current job climate

My life has improved drastically since I got into the porn biz. Lots of ups and just as many downs but overall the quality of life has been a lot better. I am proud of what I do. Not only do I find it respectable I think it is necessary. If I am very lucky I will be doing this for many many years to come.

If you feel shame in what your doing or feel it is beneath you then yeah, move on. But try and take away positive feelings from what you have done

If you have to hide what you do, it's not for you.
