I'm talking stuff like http://www.mygflovesanal.com see the play button that then leads you to the join page.... that tells me one thing... shitty content inside members area..... if your not willing to show a trailer of what the content is like then you have shitty content... yeah I said it ill say it again..... ive been in the biz long enough to know that doing stuff like that does NOT increase sales... you want to see a good site.. with good content go to claudia-marie.com trailers for every video in the members area... thats a good site... sites with no trailers = trash.... |

I don't think that's true, I've had sponsors that no trailers and had shitty content areas outconvert sponsors with trailer tours and good content.. it's all in the pitch, sometime you pitch around a trailer, sometimes it's about teasing them with pic wondering what vids are like on the inside.
Trailers have their place on some tours, other tours do better without. |

It's true, tours without trailers (or maybe just 1 trailer) will convert better than tours with trailers for every scene.
However, in todays world you are also trying to sell the tour to affiliates, so if you don't have any trailers you wont get as much traffic. Two things I am certain of is that: 1) a tour with many trailers is not good for conversions. and 2) a tour with many good screen caps of each clip and no trailer is best for conversions. |

bottom line is if your content is good then show it.. now don't give to much away.. but trailers are key to whats inside... as for the comment of the guy that promotes a shitty content area... your part of the reason that surfers don't join sites anymore... if everyone stopped promoting shitty members areas... and acutually gave a fuck about the surfer then we would not be where we are today.... you realize that affiliates have killed the paysite game by wanting 40-50 bucks per signup ...... There are several factors to keep in mind and no site is 100% equal to another, but in my experience, statistics shows no trailer tours beats trailer tours in up to 400%, we're not talking about pennies, but up to 400%, so really have no idea where are you getting this idea from. This being said, I'm talking about regular trailers, the ones webmasters make showing excerpts of their episodes. Professionally made trailers oriented to SELL rather than displaying the scene may have very different results, but they're way more expensive, so it's not like many sites are willing to build them (as a matter of fact, there might be like 0.1% or less of existing paysites using SELLING trailers)
Now I expect Robbie to say his usual yadda yadda, but as I said many times, Claudia Marie is a very special site, while 99.99% of sites are just similar between each other, only changing niche or theme. Thus, when you show what's inside, people will see they have EXACTLY THE SAME as 99.99% of existing sites. Period. Anyway, you can argue all what you want, numbers shows exactly the opposite, and as long as I'm always willing to jump on the results train, unless shown otherwise, I'll keep trusting objective numbers and research rather than someone telling a theory not backed by numbers (=money). The day someone shows situation has changed, that day I'll jump into the trailer train or whatever makes more money. As simple as that. |

Um last time i checked FHGs convert pretty well with 30 sec teasers... And with all the free stolen shit online i dont see having some teasers being a harm for conversions.
And if you cant afford the bandwidth of your trailers then something is wrong, bandwidth isnt that pricey these days... |
