...I haz one! Finally showed up in my mailbox today.

Went to get it laminated at Mail Boxes Etc. The kid who did it asked, "Are you carrying now?" "Yep. Two, actually." "Cool!"

Can't help but feel like everyone I meet today somehow knows, despite the concealment holsters.

What are you able to carry two of without them being noticed? What reason did you give or do they not care up there?

What state has a paper CCW? Mine is basically a credit card without the credit. Even has a hologram looking seal on it.

My Washington State CCW is paper and I had to have it laminated

buddy got harassed for carrying a shotgun in its box, to his car from the fun store on 1st ave.... so he asked the cop if he would prefer he carry it NOT in the box so everyone can see it. answer was no.

I have had my CCW since 2006 and carry a Kal-Tec PF-9 Sub-Compact every where I go.

I have a Glock 26 9mm in the small of my back (also have a leg holster) and a Springfield Armory XD-40 Tactical in front.

As for reasons, all that was needed was "to protect myself and my family".

I have CCW but carry openly on my own property and place of business, although carrying concealed permits are not necessary to carry concealed on one's own property or place of business in my state. I do carry when I go to the 'hood, though. The best food is in the 'hood.

XD9 Sub Compact with night sights for daily carry and when I feel like having 20 rounds in the gun, my XDM9 with night sights, trigger job and TLR3 weapon light.

Very nice. :) I'm particularly jealous of the XDM. I like Springfield guns much better than anything Glock makes. I wish I would have gone with a Springfield subcompact rather than my G26.

I have a gun in my house for intruders, I feel no need to carry one on the street. If I get in a fight, I either whip some ass or get mine whipped, no big deal. If I get robbed, they get my wallet.

For the city near where I live a gun is required if you interact with the public at all on a regular basis. Just simple shit like walking down the wrong street while being white can get you in a world of trouble.

It's nice that you are willing to get your ass kicked but not willing to pull the trigger to stop some gun wielding nut who is shooting up a public place and killing random people.

I don't carry a gun to avoid fist fights, I carry a gun to protect myself and others in the event of the kind of violent tragedies that have and will continue to happen.

Not to discount your willingness to get your ass kicked but the way I see it, drawing my gun to end a violent situation actually makes me a target as I am now the biggest threat to the perpetrator. At that point I need to get an accurate shot off before the other guy does or I'm a dead man. I'm confident in my abilities with firearms and I'm willing to take on the risk and responsibility of owning and carrying one.

Having a "gun in my house for intruders" is nifty and all but what are you gonna do when that gun is locked up in your 2nd story bedroom and the intruder kicks in your front door and beats the shit out of you and your fam with a baseball bat? You gonna abandon your family, try to make it upstairs, fumble with the lock, and then attempt to use the weapon? Come on man, be realistic.

The average gun owner, who buys a gun for home protection, has no clue how to handle their weapon, especially in a confined space, under stress, and shooting at an approaching moving target. They are more of a danger to themselves, their families, and their neighbors (from stray bullets.) Most of these people buy the wrong guns and ammo for the job too. "I own a .44 mag with bla bal bla bullets" Outstanding! So when you miss your target...and you will...and that bullet goes through the wall, where do you think it will stop? The next piece of sheet rock? Maybe your neighbors kitchen? Or how about someplace in your kids bedroom?

Taking a gun to a well lit shooting range and popping a few rounds at a stationary target does not prepare you for a home invasion that is likely to happen in significantly darker conditions and with no advanced preparation. However, if you have a CCW and the right training, you will likely have your gun on you when they come through the door.
