Sad news from Nifty Stats

Dear users,

we offer you the free version of Nifty Stats for more than 3 years now. We are very glad, that Nifty Stats is an inseparable part of your work and that it saves you a lot of time while analyzing your sales, click etc.

Our whole team works daily on the free product, so it could work 100% and so that you can have more than 1000 up-to-date affiliate programs and that we can answer your questions as soon as possible sent via the support form.

Because of the fact, that we want to constantly enhance Nifty Stats, we need to change the user terms. From 21st of July 2010 you will be able to download statistics of up to 15 affiliate programs or advertising networks.

arock10 06-08-2010 06:07 AM

Agent 488 06-08-2010 06:07 AM

wtf does that mean?

femdomdestiny 06-08-2010 06:11 AM

not so good

With this move, they will just make competition stronger long term or even motivate some other people to offer similar service.

there are dozen small webmasters or people just doing this job sometimes, not as main job, that will stop using them fast.

If they already want to do this, my opinion is that they should reduce monthly price and give option to buy software forever . This way, they loose, long term, that's for sure.

it means there will no longer really be a free version since the free version will only allow 15 programs to be tracked - which is useless for most webmasters.

Thats $100 more a year.

Sly 06-08-2010 06:15 AM

Can't really blame them. They have bills and expenses, need to make money somehow. If the product is useful and saves time (which it does), users should be willing to contribute back.

Life ain't free.

I agree..

BTW, Bobby666, change your avatar man. I always skip over your posts, that gif is distracting when you're trying to read something.

Babaganoosh 06-08-2010 07:19 AM

Without a viable free version of Nifty there's no reason to use it anymore. Everyone is going to go back to statsremote. The only thing that made Nifty so popular was its price.

Bro Media - BANNED FOR LIFE 06-08-2010 07:20 AM

You cant pay that?
Wowz0rss.

:2 cents:

FlexxAeon 06-08-2010 08:02 AM

statsremote free version is just as limited, if not more. i'd think this is still a viable option for many part time webmasters.

and if it's not, time to pay up (regardless of which you choose :winkwink: )

rogueteens 06-08-2010 08:10 AM

SR all the way here, never tried NS. always been happy with SR

Tanker 06-08-2010 08:13 AM

I have been a stats remote customer for 5 years now and I love it! no need to go anywhere else

fatfoo 06-08-2010 08:24 AM

Downloadable statistics are good.

it's actually not bad at all, but yea, main selling point was the fact it was free... :thumbsup

Statsremote doesn't have a free version. There's a limited trial that works for a week or 20 starts, whichever comes first.

LeRoy 06-08-2010 08:33 AM

I wonder if the free version can be upgraded.

Sux to re enter all the sponsors again.

Zorgman 06-08-2010 08:38 AM

I guess no one is clicking their banners. :(

StatsRemote is clean and awesome. I have no problem paying for such software. I tried Nifty and never liked it much, what was that other free one United Stats or something?? Are they still around?

JayDeeZee 06-08-2010 09:07 AM

That's fine, but can you stop using nudity on your pop ups?

charlie g 06-08-2010 09:08 AM

tornell 06-08-2010 09:21 AM
