They claim they found the 26-year-old standing naked over his friend's body with parts, including an eyeball, strewn around the blood splattered room in Klamath, California.

Wyatt allegedly told police he had drunk a cup of tea spiked with hallucinogenic mushrooms and became convinced Powell was possessed.

According to an autopsy Powell, 21, bled to death after his heart was ripped out.

The coroner said Powell had been alive when the organ was ripped out after his chest had been sliced open with a knife.

Wyatt told the police he thrown the heart into a fire along with other organs that he had removed from the body, it was claimed.

Um i dont think so. Shrooms arent going to make you pick up a knife and kill someone. i dont care if they are the most powerful in the world. i love how people use drugs as a cop out for their own actions.

A normal person- no, but someone who has skitzophrenia who knows what it might do. Maybe it amplifies their paranoia?

i just dont see it, zooms are not like that at all.

any drug that is going to make you so out of whack like that you are not going to have the capability of finding a knife and using it.

They're one of the most empathetic drugs around... All you want to do is chill out and feel the warmth of the earth under you as you stare at the stars or the beach or whatever. Shrooms and other hallucinogens cannot have their effects generalized. They affect DMT levels in the brain and affect everyone differently. Saying "you can't do *insert act here* while on shrooms" is very ignorant.

If you are a peaceful person, chances are your shroom trip will be peaceful. Basically, in a way shrooms simply augment your subconscious thoughts and bring them to the foreground.

As this seemed to be a violent/aggressive person, that was brought out stronger in him.

Claims such as "while on shrooms you can't hold a knife" is also garbage; many people have intense ability to focus while hallucinating.
