Do you buy bottled or canned beer?
I buy canned beer mostly because it's easier to transport (lighter) and takes up less space in the fridge. I pour it in a glass, so I don't have the problem of the beer getting warm faster. It is said that bottled beer tastes better, but I could never tell the difference. What do you prefer and why?

i like cans in the summer. most people i know hate them though.
|
i usually buy canned beer for home. my parties tend to get wild and I hate cleaning up broken glass. At the bar I prefer bottles
|
Bottle. Cans make beer taste like shit.
|
My favorite beer only comes in bottles
|
Used to be any quality craft microbrew came in bottles because canning machines were expensive... Now canners have come down in price. I like to think that it tastes better in bottles, but you can't argue the convenience of cans.

Something about the texture of a bottle I prefer over a can.

chilled glass or bottle

I don't drink alcohol but when i do I buy bottles. I always liked Michelob.

Bottles :thumbsup

Canned is for rednecks. Cheaper, but tastes like tin.
|
everything tastes better from glass over aluminum or plastic, beer, pop, milk etc... :thumbsup
|
I prefer bottle beer, canned doesn't taste the same to me for some reason.

Cans for the pool or beach. Bottles do seem to taste better. Nothing like a good draft with clean lines of a nice micro brew and a cigar.

There's a reason why certain beer comes mostly in bottles, and even then there is a reason for the colors.
The sun and heat effect your bottled beer in different ways, it stays fresher longer the less sunlight it sees. You're always going to get the tin can taste no matter what you drink if it's from a can. But it will usually stay "fresher" longer in a can especially if you heat cycle it a lot (like moving it from a cooler to your truck then back into a fridge a couple times). There's a reason most liquor comes in glass-style bottles. It preserves the taste, especially in stuff like Vodka that most manufacturers take great pride in the flavor (or lack thereof) of their product. If you've ever had a "skunky" beer that's within it's expiration date, it's been heat cycled a few too many times and has gone bad due to that. |
I prefer bottles.

Corona all the way! (bottles!!)

I don't drink beer all that often. When I do, I like the little Heineken mini keg.

I prefer bottles but pools and stuff usually only allow you to bring cans (glass in pool is not good) so I get cans if I think I am going someplace like that. I like bud light lime in the bottle is my preference. :winkwink: |
Bottled, cans taste wierd for some reason. Right now I am drinking Samual Adams Noble Pils, good stuff.
|
Bottled is first preference, but hell if there is no bottled beer about cans will always do.
|
One thing I do like about cans is when you get drunk its fun to grab one chug it and smash it on your head! or crush it and scream!!!! lol right in the middle of a party, the girls will notice you real quick for being an asshole and immediatly label you in their head as someone they would have sex with later but would never date! :thumbsup Alllright

Bottled because none of the beer I drink comes in a can.

Beer in glass. Bottled only.
|
Tastes better in bottles, but i usually buy cans as it makes the cleanup easier as I can just crush them flat and throw them away

Cans for a party as it's easier to clear up afterwards. Bottles if it's just for me.

Bottled always.
|
never canned
|
Always bottles, canned beer has a funky taste to it.

Those of you saying bottled beer tastes better, have you tried a side-by-side comparison of the same brand in a can and a bottle, but both poured into glasses? I did and could not notice any difference.
It may taste slightly different if you drink directly from the can though.. |
i hate beer but i buy at bottle for my bf
|
Depends on the brand of beer...
|
