Oh yeah, I remember that song.
Actually, I remember the video and that cheerleader more than the song. :1orglaugh |
Right around the same time as the OP's:
She actually did pretty cool stuff early on, both on that album and before the EP before it. After that her music has kinda sucked though...pretty much lost her edge. This was one of the other radio songs from that album: Mid-90's music fucking rules...best area of music evar. |
|
you had to know this one was coming in a thread like this
|
One more, also from mid-90s - if you've ever seen Reno 911, Viva Variety or The State, you may recognize Kerri Kenney who is the lead singer:
Can't find the damn music video for it. Anyways, it was pretty much their only decent sized hit. This was one of my faves from their first album, the one before the one containing the hit: Can anyone tell I love sardonic music? |
I can't believe nobody posted this one:

Last but not least...I liked this once. Then it become a fucking insane craze, blew up so much that the song, which is decent at best, was #1 for 14 fucking weeks!

Not many actual One Hit Wonders in this thread
|
I don't know if there is a video out but one of the greatest R&R single hit wonders was called "96 Tears" by ? and the Mysterians. I know Rudy the lead singer personally and he still performs. Song was from the 60's and was on top of the charts nationally for weeks. Long live ? (Band was Question Mark & the Mysterians)
|
wow! this thread brings back some memories!!
Will bookmark this and check through ina while at some of the classic songs here :D |
