Things you HATED as a kid but LOVE as an adult
 

There are always those things you hate as a kid but come to love as an adult. I guess "aquired" tastes, like coffee, beer, vegetables, etc.

One thing for me is italian cookies-

As a kid it used to drive me crazy that the only cookies kept in the house always tasted of ameretto or anisette. I didn't grow up with alot of chipsahoy, pepridge farm, or keebler. Maybe its just because it brings me back to when I was a little kid, don't know, but I've come to really appreciate them with some coffee as an adult.

What are some of the things you find yourself loving now as an adult you detested as a kid?

Those big fat juicy oversized hamburgers that would bleed when you bit into them that Ma and Grandma used to make when you were bitching to go to McDonalds. Can you imagine you used to cry to go to those shitty fucking 99% percent fat content fast food burger stands?

My dad spent all his money on porn magazines. I hated it but today I understand. And love it :thumbsup

I've never liked house burgers but I get what you're saying. When you're little its all about the happy meal.

I think also when you're a kid you always want what you can't have. Like I grew up eatting home cooked italian food- slow cooked gravy / red sauce, lots of pasta. Everything took hours to make, but when you're little and its all you know you don't really appreciate it.

I remember being pissed off because other kids were always eating things like kraft mac and cheese and chicken nuggets for dinner. As a kid I would have traded baked ziti or home made lasagna for tuna noodle casserole in a heartbeat. I also really liked Pizza Hut, I liked good pizza too, but because we never ordered it Pizza Hut was like a super special treat. I think it's garbage now, I can't even remember what I liked about it, but as a 5 year old that shits delicious. :1orglaugh

I guess its kinda like how some kids who grew up eating mayonaise like miracle whip and kids who grew up with miracle whip turned to love mayonaise.

Just about everything except pizza, hot dogs, rice, candy and jerky and the few other things I liked as a kid. I was very picky as a kid but now I'll eat just about everything. Most notably I eat lots of Chinese food and Mexican food which I wouldn't touch as a kid.

crust on bread - all i wanted was the soft mushy Wonder Bread - as an adult I like the crust the most. wasn't a salad eater as a kid and love salads now but they give me the shits bad for whatever reason.
