Cams connected to PCs, and built in cams in mobile phones + other devices are exploding - this is the paradigm shift in online sex, when every human being connected to the internet thru PC´s, mobile phones etc. can contribute and watch!

The early adopters (like everything else in technology) are mostly the younger generations, so of course most of us "old guard" people are finding it fascinating that some young kid in Russia came up with the idea, however just think back to when this whole adult internet started and the age we had - I bet many of us were young(er) early adopters creating the first toplists, avs, cjs, paysites etc. and alot of "old guard" people back then were thinking the same about us :thumbsup

The 2010s will have more cams and faster internet than any time in history, and lots of young adults with raging hormones will have lived their entire life when the browsable internet existed... connecting cams, internet and sex into one (cam sex) was not unpredictable :winkwink:

I've never actually used it but have been fascinated with it since finding out about it and have even grabbed up a bunch of domains I've thought of for clones of it. I think I can come to what's different about it for you.

In simple terms, both sides are basically watching TV...only you're their TV and they're your TV. You're watching them, they're watching you...you can change the channel and so can they. Interesting concept, but the way it is now, this sort of stuff can happen:

You find a nice girl and are chatting with her. You both decide to get naked and start having cam sex. All of a sudden "Next" is clicked on her side, and you end up connected with a 50 year old man who's also jerking off. D'oh!

It's mostly freaks enjoying it to freak out other people. IMO if there was a more refined version, it'd have a chance at lasting success. At the least he paved the way for such a site to happen. A Bill Gates/Zuckerberg type will come along, take his idea and make the chat Facebook of sorts with it - just watch.

The older, more experienced and practical we get, the more crippled we also get with conventional thinking.
