Isn't it fun to promote your biz off of someone elses possible hardship? :uhoh

TidalWave 03-03-2010 12:48 PM

if Dirty D was using 2257safe then all this would have been such a smaller impact... the feds would have contacted 2257safe for the ID's, they would be dealing directly with lawyers from day 1, instead they raped Dirty D's offices, assets, etc.

For the small amount that 2257safe charges, everyone should be signing up to protect themselves... its worth it to ensure your business and your personal safety.

I guess that means he isn't one of the people with ethics and morals that he refers to in his post.

yeah, that's kinda creepy. Myself, I just burn everything to a portable HD and keep it at my lawyers, for zero dollars/mth.

Glad to see you intend to continue being a complete idiot. It's important to be consistent.

Outcome has no relevance here.
His shit was seized.
All of his records, computers, cash and who knows what else?

It would never have gone down like that with our service.

Thank you, but you aren't correct here.

Since when were the feds involved? I read that it was the local or county sheriff's office.

Kingfish 03-03-2010 01:39 PM

It wouldn?t have made a difference it was the local cops and state cops in Florida enforcing state laws not the feds. The process would have been exactly the same if he had 2257safe.

Well seeing that the girl obviously blew the whistle and knows the location of the studio and or office- u are probably correct here.

However, if his address for his custodian of records was located in our law office in Woodland Hills, CA I do think there would have been a different outcome.

Also you better believe that the FEDS are involved here.
You'd be ignorant if you did not.

LeRoy 03-03-2010 01:45 PM

Good exposure for you and your co. Glad to see what works in this industry.

Yeah but this time he actually put some effort in, I mean obviously the 2257 drops in the Dirty D threads were not enough.

It was even said in that main thread "how long before DirtyD puts a marketing spin on this?"

not before kb, and this time he called in his friends to prop him. Dude, u gotta give it to this guy.. . he was scam before scam was cool.

e.g: in the playwith prais "im leaving" thread, dudes asking to buy the sextape of her and pauly shore.. .

I think it was well done this time, all prior bs aside.

This isn't a knock on 2257 safe, as I think it's a great product, but don't think for a second that if the feds are looking at you, that they are not coming to your house. They will find a reason. :2 cents:

Hey I believe that as well.
If they want anyone bad enough, they know where to find you.

Hell a PI found me yesterday trying to "buy" a Rozlyn Papa sex tape that was shopped to me at LiveJasmin.com

Surprising cause I am pretty hidden.
However anyone with MERLIN or Intelius can find you most of the time just as easy as the FEDS

DAMNMAN 03-03-2010 02:49 PM

Ok, here's my unsolicited 2 cents.

This was never a 2257 issue as they (The cops, FEDs or Local. don't care what kind of cops they is!!!) already knew the girl was under age. They came looking for her tape and any other proof of underage filming of her and other minors. 2257 safe or any other off site 2257 service wouldn't have helped or stopped anything. Period.

I also asked the question years ago to Larry Walters at a panel at Inetrnext if keeping 2257 documentation at a lawyers was the best way to handle this 2257 record keeping. He stated to the crowd of webmasters that was there (Not a direct quote) that he wasn't sure as the law reads as they must be kept at the primary place of business. At the time he didn't recommend keeping 2257 docs at a lawyers office. I don't know if this has changed.

Just sayin'.

BINGO!!!!!

Why did his lawyer partner stop posting, something about liability maybe ? Insurance ?
To the Cannibal= Since you guarantee no problems like that what kind of legal insurance is included ? Is your company insured for malpractice ? Who will handle legal representation of clients that get into troubles ?

That is not necessarily true. If the feds want to they would just sieze the records from you and also if and when they want to they can sieze the data from his servers at anytime your service can not actually stop the feds in any way shape oor form. It is absolutely low down, low class business for you to be trying to pray of this DietyD guys problems. :2 cents:

It would be pretty damn hard for them to access the information without us-
Also our NOC is locked down and PCI-DSS Compliant
There still would be some lead time to assist the customer on what he should do once the information is handed over.
