The points were like the stock market. When the stock crashes a lot of people get fucked because your points are worth nothing.

You might do a lot of good to try and help boost a lagging economy (points), and trade in the currency but that isn't a guarantee that the currency will be as valuable later.

No, he bought points from other people and cashed them out, possibly for a small profit. He traded in the currency and got burnt when it became worthless.

People donated a lot of (worthless) points to the contest. Mostly, Paul Markham if I remember correctly.

His own money was probably invested in purchasing points from others and giving them epassport funds in place of them. He bought (worthless) points from others. I think someone else was the one paying 1% or whatever the amount was, for points. I'm not sure if that was Sleazybear or not.

I did epass transfers for many people in exchange for points because you needed $100 worth of points to do a transfer.

Many peeps would get me to do small transfers and I would make a few dollars extra from it.

The NP board economy had always been pretty rock solid so I never worried about cashing out.

Basically the board just stopped paying out but aga promised publicly om his board that I would be paid.

I pissed some other people off but no one had as big of an investment as me.

I got caught holding the bag.

I am out of pocket about $2,200. Plus about $400 of the cancer contest money was mine that I donated to encourage others to give. So really about $2,600 is my money.

It had been done that way for years. Sharking was trying to get them for %20 - %80 of value.

I never did anything like that. My point were all collected through honest board economics. I never charged anyone more than $1-$2 to do a transfer.

So basically I was helping to support the board economy but I didn't know that things were going belly up. I didn't find out until it was to late.

You would think that aga would have made long term payment arrangements for long time members of his board instead of screwing a bunch of people and hurting his long term business options.

Well, that is the way the corporate world works. If a company files bankruptcy it must liquidate its holdings to pay investors as much of their money as possible. Bond holders get paid first and then stock holders.

This is the only business I know where people fuck each other left and right and think that it's ok.

Looks like everyone knew the points would eventually become worthless, except you doing the transfers... probably why so many people jumped in there and got their money out quick before it crashed - probably was no other way to do it. sorry to hear you lost your $ there but everyone has gotten toasted from some company if they've been in adult or any business for an extended period of time. i lost 30gs in monthly rebills from ibill in 2003, lost my home, got benzes and shit repo'd and its taken years to rebuilt things just to get back on my feet. but you cant let shit like that get you down or keep dwelling on it or its gonna affect your future $ earning ability. i dont mean to sound all rhonda byrne "use the secret" and shit on you but thats just how it is
