Why do people still listen to PALIN?

Good lord, she has followers still?:1orglaugh

GatorB 02-06-2010 08:26 PM

Because they think she's hot.

epitome 02-06-2010 08:35 PM

She's the future of America!

Look, she rose up from mayor of a town of 6,000 to be the governor of a state of 600,000 (roughly the same population of a medium sized city). No matter the pressure, she refuses to give up and will serve her term.

She is a great parent and is a inspiration for all parents! Sure, her daughter got pregnant at 17, but she learned her lesson and won't get pregnant at 17 again and that's all that matters!

Her husband and her are an ideal married couple. Levi says that they rarely speak and cannot remember the last time they slept in the same bed together, but that's what happy married couples do when they're in for the long haul!

She is green! She used the "leftover" building supplies from a great sports complex that she felt that her community needed to build her own house.

She is a visionary! Nobody in Wasilla wanted or needed that sports complex, but she borrowed the money, put them in debt for many decades and gave them what they'll need -- if the next mayor is good enough to grow the population 14,000%.

Need more examples?

dav3 02-06-2010 08:38 PM

Because the news media keeps her in the headlines. If you have the Google News module in your IG and use the 'Top Stories' tab, she was in the the top5 for about 2 months when she wrote her book. Now, she's has been in the top 5 for the last few days for some dumb tea party speeches.

It's amazing to me that anyone still takes her seriously after she quit her elected post as Governor of Alsaka, simply to sell a book and to take a job on Fox. She sold out and bailed on the people who elected her, and others still think she has credibility. Crazy...

HandballJim 02-06-2010 08:40 PM

I had her on for a few...but switched to ESPN for a good College basketball game Mich. St. and ILLinois. :2 cents:

onwebcam 02-06-2010 08:44 PM

Because they're stupid fucking sheeple. Just like the stupid fucking sheeple that still listen to Obama.

GAMEFINEST 02-06-2010 08:53 PM

she is annoying...and dumbz

DaddyHalbucks 02-06-2010 08:55 PM

She is a true reformer. That's enough. Contrast her with Obama --who is just a talker.

Sausage 02-06-2010 08:59 PM

Compare her to Obama, Biden and even Pelosi .. she at least comes in a solid 2nd.

Vendzilla 02-06-2010 09:22 PM

Like her or not, I think way she's going, she'll just keep gaining ground with conservatives

This one picture sums her up pretty well.

Because people are starting to wake up and see Obama & company for what they really are. Higher taxes, bigger government, deficit spending, socialism.

Obama has been in office for a year and things have gotten worse. Its time he takes responsibility and stops blaming Bush.

Honestly are really that dumb of a cunt? How come Reagan got to blame Carter in 1983 more than 2 years after Carter left office? HYPOCRITE much?

Deficit spednding? So how come there wasn't a surplus when the republicans ran everything from 2001-2007? Bush wasn't big government? Ok the Medicare Perscription Drug Plan was HIS idea and was passed by a republican controlled Ocngress and is going to cost us taxpayers a MINIMUM of a half a TRILLION dollars over the first 10 years of the program. How is that not bigger government and socialism?

It will take far longer than a year to solve what GWB left behind. Or did you think it could be solved that fast?

You are obviously unable to grasp the level of damage that Bush caused. This is the kind of stuff that was going to take the next president -- regardless of who was elected -- their entire first term to repair, and even then things wouldn't be back to normal.

Smart people understood this going into the election. Only idiots believed that Obama or McCain (or anyone from the primaries) was going to quickly fix the economy.

So yes, blaming it on Bush is perfectly valid as long as we are moving forward (and we are).

If you called me a cunt in front of my husband, I guarantee you would need some serious dental work... After your jaw and nose heals.

Dont forget, the last 2 years Bush was President, the Congress was controlled by Democrats. Bush was a lame duck President.

Reagan did something about it, still waiting for Obama to do something, remember He has a democrat house and senate, Reagan didn't have that luxury, he cut taxes, stopped the cold war and got people working in GOOD jobs, I know I had one of those jobs making 50k working on high rises. I hope Obama can turn things round, but I don't see that happening if with a filibuster proof house and senate he spent his time pushing a health care plan when people were out of jobs

Blaming Bush for the economy and making it worse is not what the country needs, the country needs action, not promises. Now he's after the GOP looking for Bi-partisanship when he ignored them when trying to push his agenda for health care, funny how one vote can change things in the government

Was that a good or bad thing?

What many countries are finding is that the recession will take more than a year to solve. Some will recover quicker than other and it will depend on many things but it will take a lot longer than a year to put right. Comparing this time with previous times shows a lack of knowledge of the situation.

What's more immature, someone calling someone a cunt or someone threatening physical violence over an insult on a message board? :disgust

Fight your own battles. Your husbands fists should never enter this equasion. If you can't handle someone calling you a dirty name this is probably not the place you should spend your free time.

Fox, the most watched cable news network in the country. That should tell you something.

yes, thank you. that is exactly why people still know that people still listen to palin.

in all honesty, i had/have no idea where palin is on the talking heads meter but i don't rely on mainstream media for facts, due to this sort of prioritizing.

I don't know what to think of her, but I think she's only going to keep getting bigger

Quote from the movie American President

They don't have a choice! Bob Rumson is the only one doing the talking! People want leadership, Mr. President, and in the absence of genuine leadership, they'll listen to anyone who steps up to the microphone. They want leadership. They're so thirsty for it they'll crawl through the desert toward a mirage, and when they discover there's no water, they'll drink the sand.

I think Palin saw this movie

dyna mo 02-07-2010 09:04 AM

if palin actually becomes relevant going forward, i will have to adjust all my optimistic thoughts re: the future.

She's revelant now
Think of it this way
There is a 50/50 balance between the GOP and the Democrats, the shift from one to the other in votes gets politicians elected. Then comes a third party, the Tea Party. They have conservative values but don't advocate either GOP or Democrat, they get independant and libertarian voters in there ranks, just enough to tip the scale. Who are they listening too? If Ross Perot wouldn't have pulled out of the race as an independant, he would have been president, he had the leading numbers, people are tired of the two party system and Palin although a GOP can bank on that, she made a point that her husband in an independant

directfiesta 02-07-2010 09:31 AM

bla bla bla ... and a peak at her notes ...

she is completely irrelevant in terms of her contribution to anything significant going on in the world such as the economy, job creation, curbing inflated government spending, international diplomacy, family values, national security, energy, etc. et al, on & on.
