What is your favorite and least favorite hotel in Las Vegas?
Favorite: I've stayed at many of them and I have to say that I like a lot of things about The Venetian. Now you have the Palazzo beside it as well. Just good restaurants and shopping around there. Plus, I usually do well in their casino! :winkwink:
Least Favorite: The Tropicana. Years ago, we had a water problem in our standard room, and they upgraded us to a full 1 bedroom suite which was just as bad. Noise, broken equipment, etc.. Nasty stuff. |
The Trop is such a shithole. I'm surprised it stays open. The Fronteir was way worse though in it's last years, broken windows being held together by duct tape.... I've never stayed at Circus Circus but that place is pretty dirty.
I'm not against the older hotels. I actually like them and get a kick out of going to them, I thought the Stardust was the shit and wish it could have stayed around. I gotta think a bit on who my fave and least fave are though... |
My favorite is also The Venetian just because of all the great memories over the years and I also seem to do very well in their Casino.
Least favorite has to be Imperial Palace, damn that place is dump. |

Fav Hotel: THEHotel at Mandalay Bay
Least Fav Hotel: The Tropicana or Imperial Palace. Thanks Wizzo:) I couldn't think of the name! |
I love The Hardrock, its quiet, relaxed and clean.
Won a package trip for 3 days, 2 nights at Gold Coast, so going in March. Anyone ever stayed there? |
Golden Nugget has been my favorite for 20 plus years.

I have to say my favorite is THEHotel. All the rooms are suites, I adore their huge soaking tubs and they have a powdered bath soak that is to die for. The staff has always been very attentive as well. Least favorite would be a toss up between Imperial Palace and the Tropicana. |

I like so many for different reasons: Overall favorite-Mandalay Bay
Least favorite: The Gold Spike That being said, I like the food at the buffet at Paris, music at Hard Rock and the Sports Book at Ceasars. |
da palms!
|
I've stayed at The Venetian 3 times now, and loved it each time.
The rooms are huge, and the upgrades are awesome. Great food too. It's expensive, but for me it's worth it. You probably can't go wrong with the other big hitters aswell though, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay etc, but i've yet to stay at any of those... |
I've stayed in Circus Circus, and honestly it was pretty nice experience. Cheap, clean nice rooms, room service very good. I liked it.
However, I haven't stayed anywhere else in Vegas so I can't really tell about the others :) |
Best and Worst
What up Chris? :thumbsup
The best: The Venetian (runner up is Hard Rock for the younger atmosphere). The worst: Never stayed there, but by the looks of it I'd have to guess the Excalibur. |
stayed at aria in jan and I was impressed. give it a few months of growing pains and then it will be top-notch
|
Favorite = THE Hotel & Palazzo
The Venetian and Palazzo just sent me another comp offer to. 2-4 days at either hotel. The best thing about their offers is that you can take advantage of them as many times as you want through the promotion date. This one goes through April 30th. Least = Tropicana & Luxor I've never stepped into anything like the IP or worse so I can't comment on them. The only reason I have been to the Trop is for a show or two. |
Favourite - Bellagio or THEHotel at Mandalay Bay
Least Favourite - Imperial Palace ( they had a show their once years ago, and the place was a dump.) |
Best, probably for customer service the Four Seasons.
Worst: Imperial Palace. When you walk around you can feel your feet sticking from tens of thousands of spilled drinks that have never been cleaned up. It's fucking disgusting. |

Same here. Never stayed there but I've won more money in the Stardust than any other casino. |
Favorite = Hard Rock...especially their new HGH tower
Least Favorite = Stratoshpere...what a dump The Venetian is nice but WAY too stuffy for me. :2 cents: |
Favorite: TheHotel. Just amazing.
Least Favorites (tie): Flamingo (Ugly rooms but nice pools), and Luxor (boring room, bad service, too family friendly). |
Best Room- The Hotel @ Mandalay Bay
the rooms are beautiful. They feel ultra luxe and I've yet to get a bad view. Something else I really dig is that the rooms are totally quiet, not like anoyone probably goes to Vegas for sanctuary, but it's nice to be able to retreat somewhere and have a real feeling of privacy. In Bellagio you can hear a pin drop from another room. I don't want to hear my neighbors and I don't want them hearing me.Best Overall Hotel / Casino Exp- The Venitian it's been said but the rooms are HUGE. The entire package exp can run you up a bit as their better restaurants are a bit on the high side, but if you want to go on the cheap they have plenty of options like kiosks and food court style places. When you think about it, it really is a fairly large complex with a good casino, great food, and good shopping. There's always something to do or see.Best Bang for the Buck - Golden Nugget gotta give honorable mention to the Nugget. When we were talking about possible spots for internext 2011 I had to throw it and old town into the ring. Old town / Freemont is slumming it, but it's fun, your dollar goes way farther, and they've fixed the place up so much it kinda feels like you're on the strip. You can do way worse with some of the hotels and casinos on the strip, it's def. lightyears better than Imperial Palace.Worst- Mandalay Bay the pool is nice, but the rooms are pretty basic and here's my biggest complaint- inconvenience. I mean, I'm confident the Super 8 right by the airport provides a less desireable experience, but for a Hotel / Casino in a semi prime location Mandalay blows. Room has no mini bar, soda machine is $3 for cans and it only takes singles. WTF. I love "the Hotel", but I HATE Mandalay Bay. |
My favorite is The Bellagio.
Stayed there for Internext in 2002. Got the tower suites overlooking the fountains. Living room, grand dining room, his and hers bathrooms, guest bathroom, steamroom, corner bedroom with incredible view, butler service...just a magnificent room. I wanted to live there like Howard Hughes. lol |

Newer room, got it! $1 beer, that isn't a bad option either. Blue hairs, oh crap! The prize package came with $500 to gamble with so I guess after that is gone I can just go somewhere else. Can't really bitch, its free.. LOL |

I still enjoy the ambiance of downtown.
|
Anyone ever stayed at The Wynn? Place is rediculouisly expensive.
|
Quote:
but i would suggest Encore because all their rooms are suites and the price is same as the Wynn . Bellagio is great location but the hotel rooms are too old style like granny / victorian :2 cents: |
favorite - the venetian
worst - stratosphere, but hey it was my first time in vegas and the room was like $39 |
My favorites are Red Rock Hotel and Casino and Green Valley Ranch. They're both off the strip.
On the strip, my favorite is probably the Wynn or The Venetian. Always have a good time at the Hard Rock too. My least fav is probably Monte Carlo |
LOVE the Venetian, the service is almost amazing, the staff really goes above and beyond what most hotels do... and I like how every room is a mini suite.
I'm not going to bother listing the crappy budget strip hotels like the Trop, IP, CC, etc, because that should go without saying... My least favorite hotel is the MGM Grand. The service is horrible, checkin/checkout always crowded, staff unfriendly, casino floor unnavigateable, and it's way overpriced for what you get. |
Favorite = Hard Rock. I've stayed there 20+ times and it has almost always been fun. Ahh, the memories.
Least Favorite = Mandalay Bay. Pubes on the bed. Like 10 of em. Never again. Plus the rooms are crap. |
The Hotel by far the best!
|
venetian for the win!
best place period. |
I didn't expect so many people mentioning The Venetian, but that's great.
THE Hotel is a bit of a surprise for me. I've never even been over there, but based on all the comments about it, I'm going to have to check it out. How are the restaurants and shopping facilities over that way? |
