I just brought my copy of the game downstairs this morning to install on the HTPC I got for Christmas.

Gonna play on the big screen TV and see how it goes. I haven't played in a few years myself.

I don't know 1 person that plays online games that is remotely connected to reality. They are all losers.

The friend was my husband..lol. He asked if I would join him if he got into it and I thought I wasn't going to like it but I would try it since he asked. Evil!

To be fair, I know a lot of 'normal' people that do. They just don't devote their entire lives to it. Then, most of the people I know are adults that have to go to work to pay bills or maybe they would play more.

Put that crack down. I played WOW 2-3 years ago and it did consume alot of my time. I am so glad I don't play anymore.

I love fantasy. I love MMORPGs... but WOW gets boring FAST. It takes too fucking long to get to a level where you do other things than grind for gear that is shit in 3 levels. I never made it to level 70 even. I think my highest is a 67 paladin. I just could NEVER get in the hours and frankly I spent WAY too much time playing.

I really wouldn't recommend the game to anyone.

Sounds fun, although I have zero time to play.

When FB was pregnant we played The Sims.... first edition of it.
Ate up all our time.

There is still that potential but I am too new for it to be too repetitive yet. I am just shocked I didn't totally hate it right off the bat. My husband laughed at me because the first thing I learned was how to cook. Which, I admit, is a tad typical of me.

I am a Sims player..I am on Sims 3 now and while it was a big time suck of a game back when I was first playing Sims 1 it is just something I dip into now and then. When I do dip in I will play it fairly solidly but then forget about it. I will always buy the new stuff for it though.

I just find that if I don't give myself something like a game I will work 24/7 and I need a mental break from work now and then. I would never have the time or the desire to be one of those guys that more or less live a game.

And it might help me burn of a bit of weight too :1orglaugh

Ya I mean if it's working out for you and that's your hobby that is fine. But you can't play wow like a first person shooter or something. To do anything of value (especially without a mount) you have to play for a few hours. To me that's a hobby that requires too much time. Especially with other things on a todo list.

I know it's new and fun and cool now but trust me, before you blow 250 hours just stop now. <- best advice you'll get

I havent tried it yet, which is partly due to having inadequate graphics cards in old slower computers. Someday will probably go for it.
