I used to go to concerts for New Year's Eve (lots of Grateful Dead New Years Eve shows back in the day), however in recent years, I prefer hanging at home, having a nice dinner, and partying quietly.
As in past years, I bopped online to check out the news and GFY every so often, and then got a good night's sleep in preparation for a day of watching football.
I party a fair amount, so I figure let the amateur partyers do their thing on New Year's Eve, and I'll do mine the other 364 days...

Well, do to tube sites I no longer have cable television so I was trying to watch the Times Square ball drop through a CNN live stream via tapping into somebodies unsecured wireless network. Around 11:58pm-ish I lost the wireless signal and didn't get it back until this morning. After slamming glass bottles around the house in frustration, punching my cat in the head multiple times, letting my bird out the cage so I can swat it with a fly-swatter, choking my wife into a slight coma for trying to stop me, and shooting my 40. Usually we go into town or something but it always ends up a pain in the ass as everything is over priced, you can never get a taxi home, and it's full of drunken attention seeking assholes.
