Montreal is the mother fucking shit people. If it weren't for the bitch ass cold winters I could live there year round. I'm working on getting my second home there. Winters in Bahamas and spend the remainder of the year in Montreal.:thumbsup

When I came to Montreal there was not nearly as much porn going on in this city as there is today. I defiantly helped get the buzz going . I helped bring millions of dollars to Montreal. I produced by far more porn than anyone in Montreal.

London was nice but got to be honest now I live in Brno amd a lot happier and now hate going back to London.

I am an American transplant too who now lives in Montreal. Great city but come on, San Francisco, New York, even Chicago blow it away.

It all depends on where you go and what you do .
Montreal has far more strip clubs and dancers than any other city I know of. The escort scene is unreal for the quality and cost.

The night life starts on Wednesday and ends Monday afternoon.

There is every kind of 5 star restaurant you can imagine.

What is the cost of living in New York and San Francisco. I am sure for the same amount of Monthly rent ,you can rent the same for 6 months in Montreal.

where did he get this information? I have been living in Montreal for about 5 years now & 50% of women here are obese & the other 50% with there bitchy attitudes, that makes them even more uglier!

I am not sure where you live or hang out. I have my offices/ studio on St. Denis and Boul. de Maisonneuve . It is the center of University of Quebec , Montreal. My living loft / studio is on . St. Laurent below Pine. I am sure you know about all the talent there.

I traveled in Europe for 5 years so I agree that have very beautiful woman. But you are talking about a whole continent compared to a city. I don't even have to get into how easy it is in Montreal to get laid in Montreal. That is a given !

St-Denis and St-Laurent are CRAZY. Love it. THe thing that sucks is when "tourists" come here, they are always directed to Crescent street. They have no CLUE where the real party's at.

For those who have never been to Montreal, Crescent is a strip that has bars and clubs. Kinda like Sunset in LA. But it's where the tourists go. The students from Boston and Vermont go there. The real party is out on St-Laurent and St-Denis. Fantastic.

And the atmosphere is just great. You don't need to be in a club style of place to see great looking women. A simple pub will have beautiful girls, like St-Sulpice for example.

I live in the Arab & Asia part of the city in Montreal, thats west of Guy to Atwater.... when going out, I go to Thursdays. I like your area where you live, I would like to get a loft there in the spring.

I have to agree that London is a great place to live. There is a vibe on the street when you are in central London that is very electric. I hate that fog city thing though because it doesn't actually get foggy anymore. It was actually smog that used to get like that and in the past 6 1/2 years I have seen maybe 2 fogs.

Chatsworth is full of poverty stricken immigrants, mainly Asian and Hispanic, thats why you dont see it there. And I dont live in Chatsworth.

Man, I've been to almost every major city in the US and was also in Montreal... I think Montreal is indeed quite awesome. One I didn't see is San Diego and everyone says it is about the happiest place on earth.

Canada is awesome. I've been to Montreal, Toronto, Windsor and Vancouver and each city has something great to offer (absinthe comes to mind as one of those great things). But overall, you can't beat Vegas :thumbsup

Best food, best shopping, best nightlife. It's genuine, if you go to a Czechoslovakian restaurant, it's in a Czech neighborhood, the waitress is Czech, those are real dead rabbits hanging in the kitchen. We have REAL neighborhoods, not artificial little enclaves designed to keep "those other people" out. It is a real 24 hour city- our trains and buses run 24 hours. Also recently shown to be the safest large city in the US.

I am putting a random bid in for Austin, TX. It was obviously an oversight on the list of best 10 cities.

I loved Montreal and became very quickly addicted to smoked meat sandwiches...and this little goth stripper at the Downtown Club (I must have paid 4-5 months worth of rent for her just in one night ;))

I also really like Vancouver and sometimes regret not moving up there....

I spent the first half of my life in the freezing Northeast. Yeh the seasons are great and I miss the snow for about 1 day every year around Christmas. But decided at 20 that was enough of that and went to California. California was great up until about when the riots and all that other stuff started out there in the late 80's. Moved to Florida in 94 and have to say this is by far the best place in the world to live. Might not be for everyone but there sure seems to be a lot of folks moving here so there must be a reason why.

so Florida gets all 10 spots.
