For the average everyday customer it is unlimited. But for people like you that want to abuse the server and use all of the resources then you would of course need a dedicated server. There is more to a server then just space and bandwidth, you have RAM, MySQL connections, running processes and a plethora of other things.

See reply to guy before you for answer. But of course if you guys prefer I will set you up with something that has hard limits. :thumbsup

My host is just fine, but a word of advice, put some limits on bandwidth/space because anybody who isn't a complete idiot will be turned off by that.

Also, don't jack HostGator's setup, makes you look like a noob.

So in other words, if you need unlimited, you can't use it. If you don't need unlimited and only use miniscule bandwidth, you get unlimited. :1orglaugh
I'm not wanting to abuse it, I would never use a host like you for a tube site because I know those 'unlimited bandwidth' offers are bullshit.

However, my point stands;
If someone were to want to use you as a file host, without any script (merely storing the media files of a tube script there), they would be unable to use your 'unlimited bandwidth' offer. No mysql processes, little cpu, huge disk i/o and bandwidth.

A single dedicated server would crumble under k0nrads specs.


Save yourself the effort and goto another forum and tout "unlimited" there is no such thing as a everyday user. Your machines will get used abused and blacklisted and done over 10x.

Sounds like you've been kicked off of a few unlimited hosts and you have a grudge?? Anyways, for your point stands question. If those files are related to a website on our network then that wouldn't be a problem. As long as the person isn't merely using the server as storage of files or media or anything else, that wouldn't be a problem.

K0nr4d is a respected developer who provides a lot of development on the tube scripts you see running around in the adult market. His average customer probably pushes 1Gbps+ of bandwidth with his software.

You really need to go back to mainstream or learn the adult market better.

This isn't the only place I post and adult isn't my primary market. I just figured I would offer this service here as there really aren't that many affordable hosts out there that allow adult content on their servers.

Dude, there are like 10 respected hosts on this board alone that can offer EXACTLY what you offer, for the same price, if not a few bucks more, and have PROVEN to be able to handle it all and not crumble over 1k uniques hitting a site.

If you want to break into it, go into virtual hosting like you do with unique ips the SEO people/bloggers wil love you and sign up and/or abuse your ip space for a while atleast.

But all in all pick a niche and go after it adjust your machines to "handle" that niche better. The only one that pops to my mind is the SEO/bloggrs.

And drop your price point.
