How am I supposed to cope with that? I told him to never take candy (or cock) from strangers, and to only look both ways while crossing the street. This happened a couple weekends ago, he was at his mothers for the weekend and the night before she sends him home, he has a sleepover with a friend. He said they were talking about girls and wanted to makeout to see what it felt like. IMO it probably felt a little different than it would have with a girl. Although I have gone through that stage of experimental sex both at 6 and 11 and again at 30. *cough* What would you do? |

If it makes you feel any better, when I was 9 my friend and I had a little fencing match after going swimming. :( And I still grew up to be socially normal and in love with women. I think at that age it's not so much sexual or physical attraction, but rather just curiosity and exploration, and maybe some impulse driven actions. I mean I made out with a girl when I was 11 and I hated it...

I wouldn't make a big deal out of it at this age
If it was my son I'd sit him down and tell him he shouldn't be coming home with hickies at the age of 10, and ask him what happened. I'd then ask how did he feel when the boy was giving him hickies. Then I'd ask him how he would feel if it was a girl who had given him the hickies. Kinda get a feel of which team he wants to play for. But I'd make it clear he shouldn't be coming home with hickies. I would then tell him "I'm always here for you if you want to talk about anything, and no matter what, your dad is here for you and will always love you" |
