Son's of Anarchy need more informed writers.

I am trying to give them a shot since they seem to be so popular here, but for an outlaw biker to mistake a 65 for a 63 is not even believable.

Lycanthrope 09-08-2009 11:45 PM

Panhead / Shovelhead, 220 / 221, whatever it takes.

Please, it was a frame and a fender.

pr0 09-08-2009 11:55 PM

It's probably one of the 3 best shows on TV right now.

Oh yea & they got Henry Rollins playing a character now. A perfect character for him, if i may say so myself :1orglaugh

Baddog, i swear you bitch like my grandpa....he gets pissed if his cereal milk is too cold ;)

Jdoughs 09-08-2009 11:57 PM

The writer is pretty badass (well one of them) Kurt Sutter, he wrote on The Shield and also played Margos Dezerian, the mafia guy cutting everyones feet off (Mackey shot him later in the show)

He also is writer producer of Sons of Anarchy, and also plays a roll as Otto the dude in the Pen, he also is married to Peg Bundy, there whatsherface, Segal.

Wow, said 'also' 85 times, like a mainstream landing page.

You don't think there was a difference in the 63 and 65 frames?

I don't think that real bikers fetishize minor differences in frames.

Anyway the show is about a new generation of bikers, and I'll guaran-dam-tee you that no late twenties kids give a fuck about the frame tabs on 45 year old bike.

camchoice 09-09-2009 12:47 AM

I like that show, in season one most of the bikers were on a killing streak. I think they should do less killing and show more bikes... !

Frame tabs? :1orglaugh

And any real biker of any age would give their left nut for a stock 65 [which is what they were implying he had].

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh you CAUGHT ME! I'm not a motorcycle mechanic! I've been faking for this whole thread!

Oh noes!

I feel so humiliated. I guess I thought I could learn everything I needed to know about motorcycles by watching American Chopper reruns on the Discovery Channel.

Seriously, tho - Get over yourself grandpa. You may ride a motorcycle but you're no more a biker than the dentists and accountants who show up at bike night at the bars around here.

Pseudonymous 09-09-2009 01:30 AM

It is one of my favorite shows. It's been ages since I added a new favorite show to my list. Can't wait for the new episodes

JFK 09-09-2009 02:29 AM

I love the show for its entertainment value and for being different. Fuck the minor faux pas, I am not there to pick it apart:2 cents:

Most of the outlaw bikers around here don't even own bikes.

The need information for a lot more reasons than that LOL? I've only seen one show that ever handled the white supremacy issue intelligently and that was American History X.

I don't know if these writers realize that when they create evil cartoon characters they make the entire issue unbelievable and silly. I never stop laughing about these tolerant interracial attitudes on criminal street gangs in silly television shows and B-movies.

The Sopranos handled race much more intelligently and required much less of a focus on it considering the characters involved.

These Sons Of Anarchy writers need to do a little research. I'm still laughing this morning from the brain dead white supremacy organization with a mind for business! :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

dyna mo 09-09-2009 07:02 AM

they do take some artistic liberties, like having club members wearing their vests while driving cars/trucks. that's just not reality.

i thought last nite's episode was a major improvement over any epsiode last season though.

datatank 09-09-2009 07:07 AM

So does GFY

american pervert 09-09-2009 07:07 AM

if you think that's bad, watch law & order with a lawyer

or watch everyone loves raymond with someone funny.

smutnut 09-09-2009 08:12 AM

Or "The Sixth Sense" with a ghost :1orglaugh

Andy CHOOPA 09-09-2009 08:18 AM

Peg Bundy rape scene was unexpected.

Pretty much every show has major mistakes like this. I'm sure that lawyers and doctors go crazy over shows like Law and Order and ER.

Nismo 09-09-2009 09:26 AM

You mean this tv show isn't perfect and accurate in every aspect?

Well, then I'll quit watching it.

Fat Panda 09-09-2009 09:33 AM

omg omg omg, its the end of the world

its a tv show, they are imaginary bikers. baddog should relate to them very well being an imaginary biker himself.

To be fair, American History X wasn't really very accurate at all. Find a white guy who's done time...Baddog is a thug, ask him about his time inside.

dallasnovelty 09-09-2009 09:53 AM

This show is pretty good and is my new favorite fx show :) I missed the rape scene of Gemma because it went long and my dvr didnt get it so had to watch it online

dyna mo 09-09-2009 10:11 AM

next week's preview suggests she didn't tell clay, interesting twist.

media 09-09-2009 10:16 AM

I have not ever seen the show, looks like its interesting, yet for some reason I have never given it a shot....

This statement here leads me to believe that you dont actually know any "real bikers" or much about what they "fetishize" over...

Again, you must not know many people that have done significant time...

I've done a little bit of federal time myself though not in the places where I can judge that show on accuracy, I was saying intelligently. Which parts weren't accurate? The white guy winning the basketball game?

Here's my prediction for the politically correct SamCro motorcycle gang. By the end of the seaons they team up with all the ethnic groups and chase the big bad white supremicists out of town. Remember you heard it here first.

My favorite politically correct gang was The Warriors. They had better looking vests

Mainly:

1. White guy getting raped by skinheads.
2. Woods paying Mexicans for protection.
