Best way to get talent from strip clubs?
 

I live in Tampa, home of the the world-famous Mons Venus strip club. The girls there are pretty much all 8's 9's and 10's. If you've ever been there you know exactly how hot they are. Anyone have any ideas on how to get these babes in front of the camera? Should I buy dances or not? I have business cards with my contact info as well as website address, which I think would help a lot. Any tips?

So, if you don't look like a male model, your best best would be to walk into the club wearing a suit made of thousand dollar bills, with cufflinks and buttons made out of crack. For added effect, stand on the bar and break a 5 pound bag of coke over your face, exploding a 10 foot radius of the white dust around you. They will come running.

Trying to recruit talent at strip club is a good way to get yourself beaten to a pulp by the owner.

Get close to the GM of the club. If you want to pull girls from his club....be ready to break him off monthy. Way better then trying to sneak the girls behind the clubs back. They WILL find out and wont be real happy

The last few times I went to a strip club I told a couple of the girls I was in the porn biz and each time I was asked if I could get them into it. Or they had a lot of questions. Seems pretty simple to me. Just tell them you work in the porn business and if they're interested they will let you know.

as soon as you show them that flashy card with a website on it they will know you are rich and leave with you right away. Works for me every time.

Honestly as much as it seems it would be a great place to get talent its one of the worst. Girls will act interested, but most will not want to do it at all. They have this idea in their head no one will find out they strip, but they think their daddy will see it if they get online. Strip club is a terrible place to recruit.

strippers think they are worth more than they actually are. they all come with extra attitude built in. they have piss poor work ethics. they can spot any flaw or weekness in a male and will exploit it in any way they feel they can. plus they always photograph and look like strippers on film which is typically a turn off for any paying member.

i just drove by there about an hour ago (mons) why do u want stripper talent just curious. they're good at manipulating a man out of his money and thats about it, film work is well... work. and thats a no-no for a strip-ho

I've been to Mons plenty of times and have pulled half a dozen or so out of there to do pictures. The manager didn't care and I've even brought my portfolio into the dressing room to show a prospective model.

I've been to a lot of other strip clubs as well and I've had the best luck at Mons. The girls there seem to be all business and will tell you straight up if they are interested or not. At other clubs girls will try and string you along and get you to buy drinks and dances with never any real intentions of working with you. I've had some luck across the street at 2001 as well.

However you approach them the bottom line is you must have something to offer them that they want.

Anyhow, there IS some decent advice. One, being to talk to the owner/Manager. If you don't, you better be pretty damn sneaky.
Other being that you SHOULD be dressed somewhat professionally. Just like applying for a job, only the other way around.
And like already said, just flat out say what business you're in. They'll jump on that info if that's what they want to do. If they don't, then after a little more small talk ask them if they ever considered/done porn.
Be prepared to spend some money though. Don't be a tight wad.

When we were still filming stuff the procedure was the following:

1 ) Enter the club and ask directly for the manager/owner
2 ) Talk to the manager/owner and see if he may be interested
3 ) Proceed according to the situation

On some clubs the manager/owner just said "No way". On others they were more than happy.
The best business we did with two clubs were when the owners just introduced us to the girls and we booked all of them we wanted. The owners were happy because they got better and fresher strippers telling them about our biz and using that as addon value for them to work in these clubs.

Basically, try to convert the strip club owner/manager into a models hunter for you.

Here in Spain the clubs are real whore houses, so we got only ok deals with the clubs that had it all legal. In some clubs the owners just told us that it would be not possible because they didn't have it all legal at 100%, so better not risk.

Talk to the club owner, he will be interested if you mention to advertise/mention the club a model appears in. It's worked for us and we don't need to be sitting in a club waiting for the right girl to appear.

Good points also she could be blowing everyone and their brother in the champagne room but there is no permanent record to follow them for the rest of their lives.

The Mons Venus is a very unique club without champagne rooms or private dances. The lapdances are all taking place in the ide open. This is good because the girls don't try to fuck you over promising extras and stuff. Every girl is pretty straightforward.

I wasnt talking about mons venus, I was talking about strippers in general. A girl can be a freak get paid and there isnt a record of it to follow her for the rest of her life. Same for escorts once they want to leave that type of work. Its like it never happened, where with porn especially now with online it follows the girl for the rest of her life.

This is coming from a guy who has worked in strip clubs for the last 3 years.

Go in and ask to speak to an owner. He may or may not be there, in which case speak to a General Manager and tell him that while you respect his position, you want to clear everything with the owner first so there is no bad blood or misunderstandings.

A lot of Managers/Clubs will feel that if the girl is with you shooting, she's not at the club making money - so offer a pay-out per girl per scene to the club, they can pocket it or put it back into the club through house fees and not pay taxes on it. Or just pocket it lol.

I would also offer to help promote the club any way possible, including a "meet the pornstar" night where you bring the girls you shot from their club as well as girls that haven't stripped before that do porn to go in there and get on stage. A lot of clubs around here fly in / bring in porn stars and they usually kill it. If you can booksome porn stars and a rapper or musician it should do very well.

I would not try to speak to dancers directly as most will look at you like an idiot.



FWIW though most strippers at the nicer clubs will not be interested as they usually make several hundred dollars in a few hours per night.

I would hit up the slower smaller clubs and just see what the talent looks like. Most of the time those girls will be more interested as they aren't making enough money just stripping.

OK theres a little good advice in here but most of it is dead wrong

there is no one way but there are ways that work

these are some methods that work

If you have street creds (ie are known in the biz or shoot for a company that is) talking to the owner doesnt hurt, tell him that you will promote his club, etc this gets you his blessing but it in and of itself wont get you girls.

It also doesnt hurt to make friends with a DJ or two

But By and large you need to focus on the dancers.

Only an idiot goes in by himself and only a bigger idiot pays for dances....as one guy pointed out the instant you do that yer a customer.

The smart way to do it is to take a cute personable girl (preferably a dancer) with you. let her do the cold calling and you seal the deal.

do not use the shotgun approach, target one girl. Talk to her straight and tip her for sitting and talking to you, DONT buy a dance. If she isnt interested be nice and say if you know anyone here who might be send em my way and I will take care of you if they shoot.

After you shoot one girl from a club, make sure she has a good time, make it fun and she will tell her friends and you will be pulling girls from there left and right. Visit the club now and then but dont buy dances....let the girls come to you who want to shoot dont proposition them. If yer interested in a particular girl ask a girl you have already shot if she might be interested.

Pay them all the same...period.

The absolute best way is to become part of the club family. I have a friend who manages a club, when I go in I hang in his office I know every bartender every dj every bouncer, every dancer and the club has full knowledge of what I do and they have given me their seal of approval.

If someone else goes into this club and propositions a girl they go tell the management and they eject him. I go in I never proposition the girls there they all know me they all know what I do and if they want to shoot they come to me. i do it discreetly and I treat them all well and they line up to shoot whenever Im in.

follow these rules and take your time and you will reap the rewards...strip clubs are by far the best places to recruit IF you do it right.

I've been photographing strippers for years. Not hardcore but up to playboy style and never has it occurred to me that I had to clear what I was doing with the owner or manager. I always assumed what the girl did on HER OWN TIME was her business and not the clubs.

With that said, there were a few clubs where I became friendly with the managers as my reputation began to build and the girls spoke of me but I never thought I'd have to clear my intentions with them first.

you dont have to clear it with the manager but he doesnt have to let you in either its just a political move that can work
