Sorry - I don't see a problem here. You come at a cop w/ *any* kind of a weapon, when the cop tells you to drop it - you drop it... or they will drop you. I don't care if you're 80 or 8. She gave that old woman ample opportunity to drop the knife - she chose not to.

In a recent similar situation everyone was up in arms because the cops tasered the geezer. They all said "just take the weapon away". Well - that's what the policeWOMAN did in this case and everyone is still bitching.

WTF??! How about you get on the old bitty that was swinging the knife around in a Walmart parking lot??! Is THAT appropriate behavior?? Apparently no one else that was standing around (or filming her) felt comfortable in disarming her - that's why they called the cops... So deal with it and STFU!

You understand that police are trained to handle those situations much better? Before cracking someone skull, they need to assess the situation, see if anyone is in immediate danger, if not they need to spend more than 5 sec trying to convince the person to drop their knife... especially if it's a 8yo kid or a senile 80yo granny... lol

And when this cop got her wrist, he didn't need to follow with a judo throw and crack her head..

My grandma is over 80... any little bump causes them to bruise and bleed because they're skin is so thin. She once ripped open the skin on her forearm by just holding a heavy grocery bag around it.

First, she shouldn't point a knife at cops. Second, she's black so she's predisposed to violence. Taking that into consideration, the action taken by the police was appropriate. An adult man would likely have gotten shot.
