Okay we've got some smart people on this board...someone tell me how this works.
|
WTF WTF this is too crazy
|
thats crazy
|
I can tell that you do not read Japanese...
|
Yeah i know such tricks there a real bugger..
i have seen sum one with a card trick that was pretty impressive and later on ver very very simple.. |

did you do it more than twice?
the first time i just picked 54 because i was too lazy to think the next time i picked 11, then realized i couldnt do it, then 22 i think thats what most poeple will do at first then they realize it read thier mind and moved on?? just a guess.. :thumbsup |
It got mine wrong......
DynaMite |
It is just a mathematical calculation on even or odd numbers, they maken it difficult by showing alot of numers and signs, but there is just a 50/50 chance that they randomly pick the right symbol.
check it. |
Interesting...

man it read my mind EVERY fuckign time
|
mine did not work though. i chose 99 and it blew it. haha
|
Yep, they randomly choose between even or odd numbers...
a scam, it seems difficult, but is mathematical easy just my 2:2 cents: |
lol
the symbols are repeated all the time |
Simple mathematics
|
if i saw the card trick again i could tell you how its done
but they switch around the cards, its kinda silly |
That process on a 2-digit number will always yield a result that is 9 or a multiple of 9. That is one of the interesting properties of 9 in a base 10 counting system.
I'd be interested if there are similarities in none-10 base counting systems. Great trick. |
stupid shit got me wrong all 3 times I tryed. Booooooring next
|
WTF? How can this be, its the devil I tell ya "The bloody fuckin devil!"
|
see these numbers??
9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 91 They're all exactly the same. And no matter what you choose, any number, when you subtract them, they'll be one of those numbers above. And all those numbers, if you look, are the same symbol... so it always guesses right. Voila :thumbsup |
its good for generating impressions in a banner exchange page!
|
This is truly a great example of showing that Complex systems can be so easy...
just like programming, most of the time you think to hard, and the sollution might just be an IF / OR statement... |
The answers are all multiples of 9. So, if your number is 16 then you subtract 7 and get 9. If your number is 25 you subtract 7 and get 18 (9x2). If your number is 39 you subtract 12 and get 27 (9x3) etc. This works all the way up and you'll see every multiple of 9 has the same symbol.
|
Bobo is right, pretty easy. :1orglaugh
First, realise that when you look at the table, notice that every multiple of 9 has the same symbol. Including 0. Take any number... I'll take 63. Reverse it, I have 36. 63 - 36 = 27 Is it divisble by 9? Yep. So it "read" my mind. Try it. Take any integer above 10, reverse the numbers to get a second number. E.g. Choose 654 and reverse it to get 456. Subtract the second number from the first number, the result will always be divisible by 9. On the chance that you choose a palindromic number like 323, 88 or 9669, they have 0 as the same symbol of every multiple of 9. Sweet. :Graucho |
Subtracing the two digits will always give you a number divisible by 9. They assign a sybmol that is associated with all numbers divisible by 9.

Maskedman you beat me to it. Didn't see your post :)
|
for me to poop on
|
Too many smart asses on GFY.
You're all banned. :) |
mystery case closed
Now get on, and go fuck yourselfs... :ak47: |
It got mine wrong twice out of two goes...
|
Thanks all...you helped me win $1K on another board for getting the answer right first.:thumbsup
Haha just kidding :) |

Would have been sweet if it was $1K... I'd demand ya split it with my broke ass :winkwink: |
LOL...I figured that woulda stopped a few hearts.
But I suck ass at math so glad you guys sorted it out for me :) Now I can rest my mind knowing it's not being invaded and my good ol' foil hat is still working. |

hehehe
crazy shit, but yeah all the possible results are multiples of 9 :glugglug |

yup, exactly... i figured it out without even clicking once... then after started clicking i noticed everytime it changes the symbols at those numbers, so it makes you believe it actually doesnt have the same answer evertime even though it is the same numbers, lol, that especially makes it look more interesting to the simple mind... pretty cool |
