I dont excactly know but why did the us wait so long to get into the war. They only really got into the war after german subs shot and destroyed cruise liners not using a designed zig zag pattern to avoid torpidos so they could travel faster.

Aside from deciding that Afghan civilians are fair targets in the name of cleaning things up, I don't see how there is anything more we can do that will be a difference maker.

There is no way we are going to drop nukes (which at this point is what that country deserves). The middle east would go nuts and we'd probably see terrorism all the time.

A nuke whould be fun to look at but a good reason to be thier is for troop training, intel gathering at their position, and locations for permant us bases incase we do have a "major" war we are in position. Especally if it is a nucular war on the last one.

Dosent Saudia arabia have control or some portion of owner ship in alot of us sea ports? Do we treat a country in the same area and same historys and beliefs in an area diffrent just for position just like i said in a earlyier post?

The US military knows what they need to do to win... How did the military supress the insurgency in Iraq? By doing an end run around Bush, Cheney and Rumsfield to talk to the enemy and to actually PAY THEM not to attack the US forces... The military wants to do the same think in Afganistan... In addition to being an ally in the U.S. war against drugs, the Taliban also has banned the education of girls and women. It has banned women from seeing male doctors and it prevents women from practicing medicine.

Colin Powell, in announcing the gift, said the administration hoped that the Taliban "will act on a number of fundamental issues that separate us: their support of terrorism, their violation of internationally recognized human rights--especially their treatment of women and girls--and their refusal to resolve Afghanistan's civil war through a negotiated settlement." He also called on other nation's to join the U.S. with ?dispatch and energy.?
