My goddamn iphone fell in the goddamn toilet at the goddamn Venetian
 

Day 1 of AEE ended with my iphone falling in the toilet.

For those of you that were trying to call me, I sincerely apologize. I didn't flake, just had zero communication.

I think most people eventually found me around the show floor or at various events.


TDF...please contact me. I was waiting for you at the Palazzo Circle Bar when my iphone decided to go for a swim and I stayed there for several hours but never saw you and couldn't call you back. I'm so sorry we didn't get to hang out.

I hate this to happen to me. I always remember to be careful in going to toilet with my phone. Communication is important when you're not home.

i wonder if a trick i was told to do if your camera falls into the ocean. after you get in out cover it with a bottle of rubbing alcohol.it draws all the water.

Chemically it is very flawed so I would not even bother. Alcohol does evaporate quickly but it would not take water with it really.

i recently dropped my nokia 6500s in the toilet...while flushing...it went in deep and it was very hard to pull it out long story short 20 seconds in I pulled it out and it was still working.... i turned the fucked down dried it and let it sit for a week or two...not its working fine the only thing not working is the awesome camera it has :(

Actually WD40 is said to do the trick.

Good news though...it turned on this morning and I was even able to make a phone call. I'm scared to touch it too much. I keep looking over at it like it's going to blow up at any minute. :1orglaugh

One of the best tricks I have been told, and saw it work on a sidekick that fell in the toilet, is to bury the phone in brand new kitty litter for 2-3 days. Then try plugging it in and should work fine. Trust me this works... it draws all the moisture out...
