So...I convinced my wife to get in the studio and record her first single...

I would love to hear your feedbacks. I'm thinking about doing a complete album
but I also want to focus on kids. So for her touring right now is out of the question but having an an album is the one thing she is missing from her list of things to do in her lifetime. Everything else has pretty much been accomplished. I may have to fire up one of my old labels because there is already talks about this song getting radio play.
Let me know your thoughts.
Speak your mind. I'm sure not everyone is into her style of music.

If you don't like it, what would you change?

I'll make sure to pass the info to her. Also, if you like it, she has it on her myspace page, you can add it to your page from there.

Thanks for taking the time to listen to it.

Ghost - Featuring Jeremy Greene

Wow im really surprised very nice work you wife has a fantastic voice. This is not my style of music but my wife and daughter would eat this up!

datatank 10-24-2008 11:23 PM

How much did that cost you?

Sorry man

Slick 10-24-2008 11:24 PM

Hey Dave, I checked out the song and I like it, the chorus is great, very chatchy, I could picture that song on the radio.

Thanks man, that is awesome to hear. I think her next one I'm going to do a Dance Track and play it at the club and see the respone. Something like Brittany's Womanizer Track.

Thanks for taking the time to listen to it. :thumbsup

i was expecting naked pics.... :(

baddog 10-24-2008 11:28 PM

Not really my style of music, but the thing that I noticed was the background orchestra music was way to loud for her. Overwhelming.

PR|Jordan 10-24-2008 11:28 PM

That is FANTASTIC! She has a great voice!

You must not read subject lines very well and or have no respect with the Word Wife in there. Sorry!

I was thinking to myself, "I wish there was an equalizer on this laptop." :)

I am sure young chicks will love it.

Bojangles 10-24-2008 11:32 PM

Not my type of music...

But, for this type of music the chorus is definitely catchy. I could picture this song being played on the radio as well.

she's really good!

kane 10-25-2008 01:18 AM

It is not my kind of music but I have to say when you hear the top 10 songs on billboard they all sound like this one so I think people would like it and it could find an audience.

That said, if I were producing the song I would get rid of the guy. She is good and while he is okay having him in it seems to take the song from being a good pop song to being more of show tunes kind of thing. Just my 2cents.

munki 10-25-2008 01:31 AM

I was diggin it... a lil heavy on the background fluff. Killer voice, layoff the effects a bit and eq a bit more and you've got a serious single on your hands there.

bobby666 10-25-2008 03:14 AM

i like what i can hear

MrMaxwell 10-25-2008 03:21 AM

I love her voice
It would sound almost generic without that certain something in the "back" of it you know what I mean were a womans voice will have, not at aftertone, but, a second tone to it with it? She has that.

Thanks for the Advice, I agree. He is one of the few that is signed with Interscope/Myspace and is a friend of mine so we thought the first one of her songs would be cool with them together. But the other songs would be her solo and aiming towards some dance tracks.

stickyfingerz 10-25-2008 10:42 AM

Pretty much radio ready. I still have my fingerz in the music industry here in Nashville. I wouldn't blow smoke up your ass if I thought it was bad. Its really good. One thing I felt you could add was over the intro music one of two things.

A. Have her do some whispering type talk / singing or
B. Have the guy do some sort of a rap style intro.

Its seriously a very awesome song. Who wrote it btw? :thumbsup

CaptainHowdy 10-25-2008 10:46 AM

Great voice ... not my cup of tea but sounds really promising!

Thanks man, that is good to hear. She wrote majority of it on the spot at the studio, and the Jeremy dude and the producer added a few things. I will definitely pass on the suggestions. (Song was actually written about me so I guess I'm the ghost. lol)

You must have your hands full in Nashville. Lots of talented people there.

aico 10-25-2008 10:48 AM

Have her team up with Angela Taylor, and you'll have the sexiest girl band out there.

I totally understand, good advice. Thanks,

Lee 10-25-2008 11:40 AM

I listened to the first part and got my impressions. It sounded like a lot of the stuff that charts today, which too be honest isnt my cup of tea. However I will say that if you played that to me with say two other similar songs in that genre then I myself wouldnt be able to tell which are the two "established" performers and your wife, so its good in that respect.

A sterling effort just not to my personal taste.

qxm 10-25-2008 11:45 AM

... ur wife might be onto something there :)

Same for me.

Expecting this, this really sound like a big production.

Also, in some parts of the song, the sound of her voice have some annoying "digitalized" effet on it... I would reduce the effet/remove it.

:thumbsup:thumbsup

justinsain 10-25-2008 12:07 PM

I listened to it a few times and I must say it's really nice. She defiantly has the potential :thumbsup

All she needs is the right people behind her and she will do well.

As for the song a few things stuck out for me. One is I liked the fact that the guy also sang and didn't rap his part. I didn't like the like in " you're like a ghost to me " and would maybe try " you're a ghost to me " instead. I like Stickey's idea about the song starting with her whispering something and the end seemed unfinished as if it were cutoff. Maybe finish it off with him whispering something too.

That's my initial reaction but what the hell do I know :1orglaugh

I will say again that it's really good, very commercial ( sell well ) and worthy of doing an album.

Manowar 10-25-2008 12:11 PM

she has a great voice!

on a side note, i miss ball'r records

RyanL 10-25-2008 12:11 PM

Great voice :)

makefuckingmoney 10-25-2008 12:29 PM

no offense but i think its horrible.

maybe see if disney can put it in like alladin 4 or something..

very kid/disney/cartoon romance sounding

You wrote this as you've done a few albums. Nice job. :thumbsup
Thanks for taking the time to listen to it and giving your thoughts. I may just hire you for her next few songs. :thumbsup

Thanks, It seems most of the new songs played right now have that digitalized affects to it. But I agree, I think they are getting carried away with it.
