I want to vote for Obama.... BUT.........

Him and the democrats got us into this housing shit that ruined the economy.

Fuck they both suck........

Drake 10-05-2008 05:58 PM

Wall Street greed caused it, not one party or the other.

Great 60 minutes piece about how things happened. See the video:

dropped9 10-05-2008 06:00 PM

yes greed did... but everytime legislation was brought before congress the dems struck it down...

tony286 10-05-2008 06:03 PM

read more thats not true. The republicans had control for 5 of the 7 yrs and the democrats had a slim margin after that. The right wanted deregulation this is what you get when you have deregulation. Companies just wont self regulate. also lowering taxes going to war at the same time didnt help this.

One could go back and forth with this all day. Which party controlled Congress for the majority of the time? Which party encouraged and supported deregulation.

This is the problem. People are only willing to look at this problem through a partisan prism. Nothing gets solved that way.

Ask yourself who is more intelligent and displays excellent leadership skills. Thats who should be president.

Or potential President:

Quote:

She is perky, peppy, bubbly, one of those shiny, happy glass-half-full types whose folksy ?betchas? and ?shout-outs? to third-graders and winks would be welcome in the nurse wheeling you from the operating room or the flight attendant reassuring you as your jet bounces at 30,000 feet. Her style would go over great debating for student council.

But in a person who could be president? It?s just weird, childish, silly, even patronizing, as if we voters are third-graders ourselves. And that relentless chipperness, real or faux? Enough already.

Imagine, if you will, a debate between the aforementioned Hillary. As one local female politician put it, ?Hillary would?ve eaten her lunch.? Imagine other local female politicians winking at anybody, even once, in a debate. Attorney General Martha Coakley? Former Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey? Suffolk Sheriff Andrea Cabral? No, I don?t think so. The difference between these women and Palin is clear: They are serious, thoughtful, analytical, sophisticated - good qualities, in case we?ve forgotten. They could name you a Supreme Court decision without panicking. And they?d never, ever pretend hockey-momming has anything to do with running the world.

Ya should do a fact check on that. It was the Republicans that de regulated the Mortgage and financial industries. Almost all the biased and unbiased fact check sites say so.

marketsmart 10-05-2008 06:38 PM

i will say this for the 100th time... the republicans have had 8 years to make things better...

we are in a terrible situation with the final outcome being an unknown..

we have a dem controlled house and senate... which is only going to get more dem seats this election...

lets give the dems 4 years to see what they can do different... :2 cents:

maybe they fail, maybe they turn this country around... i would rather give them a shot than mccain who is clearly going to just keep steaming along with the failed bush policy..

i am almost to the point where i am willing to beg people to vote for obama for the above reasons...

ask yourself, what have we got to lose... obama may be this generations kennedy and just might be able to get people excited about this country again...

its only 4 years...

think about it....

Even Lab rats change behavior when faced with consequences when pressing the wrong button. So far Americans have had the choice to choose 2 buttons, they chose the same button 2 times in a row and got shocked both fucking times. One can only wonder why Americans would want to push it again in some desperate hope to avoid further disaster.

Appearently for some folks that survived the shocks during the first 2 times will hit the wrong one again for a 3rd time without even thinking twice.:1orglaugh

There are a lot of people out there who will never vote democrat - no matter what. They are willing to get shocked over and over again as long as a democrat doesn't win. There are also a lot of people out there that will never vote republican - no matter what. The reasons for these votes often have next to nothing to do with economy. Many voters assume whoever ends up in the white house they will fuck them over with the economy so the religous right votes for the pro-guns, pro-life, pro-god candidate and the liberals vote for the pro-choice, pro-gun control candidate.

It is sad, but true.

The first time any legislation introduced by the so-called "Maverick" was in 2005. Both the senate and the house where controlled by republicans at that time. The bill was such a piece of bullshit it was rejected by not only Dems, but by Republicans too.

The only people responsible for this mess is the greedy mofos that don't give a shit about the average working American...we know which party holds that title.

Please... i will go with all those crazy guys at a ivy league that voted a black man named Barack into the most prestigious position at any place of higher education.

More or less Washington sucks. Republicans and Dems are pretty much only interested in tearing down each other instead of building up America. Until we dramatically change the following: Term Limits on Congress and Campaign finance reform we're just going to get an endless stream of candidates no one is really thrilled about.

McCain/Obama two people I don't want to see as President. Which is the lesser of two evils, honestly I have the luxury of voting for neither of them because my State is going to Obama no matter what. If I were in a battleground state, I'd probably vote Obama just to see what the fuck he does. That's not a vote of confidence it's more of a vote of...oh cool a red button, let's just press it to see what the hell will happen.

Snake Doctor 10-05-2008 08:21 PM

I could get into this, totally debunk the idea that the housing crisis somehow the democrats fault with facts and reputable sources....but it wouldn't matter, wouldn't change a single mind or a single vote.

I think I'll go find a tube site to jerk off too, that will be a better use of my time. :winkwink:

When American voters actually get into the voting booths, many will get last minute jitters about voting for Obama --and that will be very good for our country!

Drake 10-06-2008 08:51 AM

I watched the debate again and came away with a new perspective. Not only is Palin hot but she's giving off some pretty incredible subliminal messages. You be the judge:

"I know what the hurts are... I know what the joys are.."

"John McCain has allready tapped me 94 times"

<wink> "And how long.." <wink>

"People are SOOO hungry for those hockey Moms"

"That's encouragement <wink>... get the job done"

"John McCain has tapped me, said 'that's where I want you, I want YOU to lead'"

"I can't wait"

"You're gonna hear his passion <wink> and I'm gonna push... backwards and forward... push harder.. pushed hard 94 times"

"heatup reckless energy.. getting closer and closer to that really good pleasing point, drill, baby, drill!"

"It would be a travesty if we quit now, early withdrawal.."

If you believe that you are stupid. So everyhting happened in teh alst 2 years. The GOP controlling the white house for the last 7 1/2 years had nothing to do with it? The GOP controlling congress from 1995-2007 had nothing to do with it? This is what you believe? The Dems in the last 2 years suddenly changed the laws in the last 1 1/2 years to make this happened? Oh by the way, if they did actually do that, any new laws would have to be signed into law by BUSH.

The ingorance of people about how governemnt actually works shocks me.

Dont forget Phil Gramm lobbying his little ass off to deregulate the banking and lending industry. Gee, did that have anything to do with it? lmfao!

Then he worked for McCains campaign. Why wouldnt he? They're BFF's. :1orglaugh

It is sad, but true.

Or all the young voters who simply parrot the views of their parent or parents. Like when a dominant parent is extremely racist, often that prejudice is passed on to the kid. Political blinders are likewise passed down.

Mr. Cool Ice 10-06-2008 10:54 AM

BUT...... he's black and his name is funny.

That about sums it up.

Oh yea, he also has FAT pockets from taking hand outs, I mean "contributions" from the very banks and financial agencies that just took a shit and now need to be bailed out. One of the top receivers from these institutions that just fucked everyone. How nice.

agreed :thumbsup good way to think of it.

Repubs and dems have fucked things up over the years, I don't agree with either side 100%. But 8 years of pure shit?? Besides the economy...

-- Insistence on staying in Iraq - corruption by Haliburton, Bush, and Cheney.
-- Mccain is bad enough - but Palin is worse and she's only one heartbeat away from controlling your life. ...You do work in the adult industry don't you?

enough is enough.
