Just saw this Genesis Magazine cover and wondered if anyone thinks it's attractive?

Does Briana look like shes about to throw up? Does she look like she's enjoying herself?

Rather poor choice for a cover shot.

Boobs look askew...belly button looks chopped.

Brutal crop job with her hair.

either that or the airbrusher really fucked up the lines...

and no- her face isnt attractive

My thoughts exactly. Not every model looks good in every pose. But for a cover shot, you would think the editor would look for a pose and an expression that actually flatters the model! Sometimes I wonder what editors use for brains :Oh crap

The colors are way off. They seem to clash a bit...and Brianna looks as if she's got some leakage going on there.

Frankly, If I owned the magazine.....that cover would have never made it!

pure crap, obviously whoever did that doesn't know the first thing about photoshop, much less color correction and printing.

The worst part of all is the look in her eyes. Maybe the photographer told her to give a sexy look to the camera.

It came up more like she is impatient and angry.

Mens magazines are horrible these days - my photog John shoots for most of them - one of them literally has computers running Windows 3.1 - they are all playing out the string,
kinda the way this business will be in a few years for most people.

Check out Gallery magazine this month - the Girl Next Door of the Month is John's - he sent them a DVD with 500 color corrected edited shots and the raw originals - they printed the raw unedited images - bags under the model's eyes, blemishes - he informed them and they really didn't notice or care.

When I saw the cover layout for my first Penthouse Magazine cover, I emailed the powers to be a small note with a couple of very minor adjustments within photoshop that would have really made a difference in the shot and would have made the model more flattering. In my opinion - there were much better shots but since they wanted this one, I thought it would be fine with a couple of minor adjustments.

They agreed that my "corrections" would have made the shot look better and thanked me for the suggestions...giving me the impression that it would be taken care of. When I got my copies, none of the corrections were made and the cover was not as good as it could have been.

In my opinion, you can't expect an editor of a magazine to color correct your images or pick out the best shots. I've spent years learning to color correct for beautiful skin tone and learning to work with models to bring out their beauty by focusing on their good features and not drawing attention to their bad features. An editor (unless he or she has a passion for what they are doing) will never do a good job at any of this. Magazines would do much better if they'd hire a seasoned photographer (with skills) to do the photo editing instead of giving that job to someone who has no idea what the hell they are doing. :2 cents:
