The New BMW Z4

I got to test drive one today..This car is a real upgrade from the Z3..i drove the 3.0l model.. It's quite a bit larger than the Z3 and handles great. The car looks better in real life than the pictures of it..the front end might take a bit to get used too,but overall at 48k sticker i give it a :thumbsup http://www.mintesbabes.com/0328_main.gif

quiet 10-29-2002 01:31 PM

i'm not a fan of the styling

*shrug*

Theo 10-29-2002 01:35 PM

i have seen too many bitches with rich husbands driving the Z3 that I hate it........ :glugglug

hottoddy 10-29-2002 01:37 PM

I think it's a big improvement - much beefier looking, and less "chick car."

Kris 10-29-2002 01:38 PM

i'm a fan of the new 7 series :winkwink:

Minte 10-29-2002 01:41 PM

I don't have the dimensions..but the car appeared much wider than the Z3 and the one i drove had 17" wheels giving it a real solid feel..
I am not buying one..Just reporting on it
My M3 is actually ahead of schedule..they are saying now mid to late feb.:)

The Machine 10-29-2002 01:46 PM

the newest BMW designs are kind of ugly.

I don't know, I kinda like the look of the Z4. A lot better then the typical boring BMW sedans I will say that much.

quiet 10-29-2002 01:55 PM

i really like the M3. it's the only BMW i'd consider buying, other than the Z8...

multisexsite 10-29-2002 01:56 PM

The z4 does look pretty nice.

SNIPER 10-29-2002 01:58 PM

I must say I was waiting to here about a test drive. I was going to upgrade my car but the way BMW works. You buy the Z4 and six months later a Z4.1 comes out. They dont even let you have a full year without bringing in a new model and decreasing your car value.
A true piss off. Once my lease is almost up I am going to get rid of the Z3 and go for the new Lexus covertables.

Minte 10-29-2002 02:11 PM

The Z4 looks a lot more like the Lexus than the Z3 did..the 3..is such a small car..were the 4 is considerably larger.. I was surprised by the 0-60 performance..not twin turbo..but quite quick..The brakes on the 4 are very good.. It was too cold to run it with the topdown..but the dealer mentioned that the new styling quieted down the wind noise quite a bit..

beitar 10-29-2002 02:18 PM

Hey Sniper,
The Lexus 430 convertible is amazing. I just leased one just few days ago.
I got sex twice this week (amazingly unusual) with two different chicks. Met both of then on a red light :winkwink:

You are so correct. I used to like the Accord Coupe but this new design looks like a RSX knock-off (RSX is pretty ugly too).

The only sub-$90000 production cars in USA that I like now are the Corvette, Viper (sort of), and the all-mighty NSX.

Mitsubishi should never stopped making the 3000GT. Toyota shoudl never of stopped making the Supra.

Sappy 10-29-2002 02:27 PM

I have a 1978 530i. It's rusted to shit, and looks like hell, but it runs great. Never had problem with it. Well, except getting laughed at.

asuna 10-29-2002 02:27 PM

Yeah the Z4 is interesting, my dad is looking at it for next spring, but im trying to talk him out of it... too small, even tho its his midlife crissis car.. maybe a regular 3series convertible would be nice..

the automotive press has described BMWs recent styling changes as "curious" and "confusing." these cars run & handle great, but they're getting pretty ugly.

i hope they don't fuck up the looks of the 5 series when it is revamped.

hey BMW, GFY!

Amanda Lewis 10-29-2002 03:10 PM

Forget about the BMW, I'd rather drive my caddy Escalade!:thumbsup

The automotive press are morons. As someone with a mechanical engineering and design background I can honestly say what Chris Bangle is doing is a design revolution.

My three year old kid thinks everything but coco puffs and pizza tastes like crap. Does it mean it tastes like crap or that his palette isn't developed enough to appreciate it?

That car is for a $30k a year millionaire.

Hooper, you show off!

X37375787 10-29-2002 06:38 PM

Maybach ain't the same league compared to BMW. I would recommend ya'll to check out the newest BMW film starring the new Z4. Pretty slick car ... however, I am not a big fan of convertibles.

Personally, I can't wait for the 760 to hit the shelves, that car's gonna be a real beast.

quiet, what speaks against the M5 ?

X37375787 10-29-2002 06:40 PM

The new movie is called "Hostage" and can be downloaded here

:thumbsup

745i Rollin on 22 HRE's! Probably one of the only 4 doors that can take 22's without rolling the fenders!
