A robot couldn't have done it any better...no wait. C'mon man, I hate both of them, but you really think that was a good speech? It just seemed very mechanical to me. Meh...back to work...

There is no secret, he hates teleprompters. It was an amazing speech. Really.

Lol, he made so many simple reading mistakes I thought I was watching a 3rd grader standing in front of the class for the first time. Im sick of him relying on his tortured past to make him a candidate. He has no political skills and thinking of him sitting across the table from Putin or any world leader gives me chills.

Maybe I was watching another channel or something. The McCain speech I saw wasn't very impressive.

I wouldn't vote for him..didn't impress me.

I give him credit for throwing the Bush administration under the Straight Talk Express because of their corruption. The end of the speech was the most inspiring I've ever seen him.

I'd vote for the John McCain of 2000. This year's model has been changed so much, just to get the nomination, that he's not worthy.

Who can respect someone who explotis his past as a supposed "war heroe" to push forward whatever hope he has for presidency? I think McCain almost had a heart attack when he first started walking out and he had a permanent wave every 4 seconds. He forgot to take his Xanax before he came out but did a great speech.

I don't know how much I missed, but I turned it on around 10:20 EST and while I am pro McCain anti Obama, I have to admit that Obama held my attention better than McCain and also that Obama was a more powerful speaker.

I agree with McCain's policies, ideas, etc but god damn I think he is milking his POW experience too fucking much and when he talked about it tonight I shook my head and thought, "here we go again". :1orglaugh

While Obama's speech was more powerful and attention gripping, I felt McCain's was more genuine as Obama carries himself as nothing more than a rhetorical orator reciting a canned speech penned by others
