All persons born in the United States, except those not subject to the jurisdiction of the U.S. government (such as children of foreign diplomats) are citizens under the Fourteenth Amendment. Persons born in the United States, and persons born on foreign soil to two U.S. parents, are born American citizens and are classified as citizens at birth under 8 USC 1401. There is some debate over whether persons who were born US citizens and are classified as citizens at birth under U.S. law should also be considered citizens "by birth," whether they should all be considered to be "naturalized," or whether they should be considered "statutory citizens." There is also some debate over whether there is a meaningful legal distinction between citizens "at birth", citizens "by birth" and "statutory citizens" since U.S. law makes no such distinction, nor does the Fourteenth Amendment use the term "at birth." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural-born_citizen |

To help you along... in most nations the sperm donor (father) is what citizenship is passed via jure sanguis to the children. In the US, to children born here, it does not matter (anchor babies) what the citizenship of the parents is. In Obama's case his mother was banging half the 3rd world so it is unclear what citizenships he has and where in fact he was born. |
lolol....this is interesting stuff

"Senator Obama was born in the State of Hawaii two years after it became a state on Aug.21, 1959 As such, he acquired United States citizenship automatically at birth. While it is not necessary to go into all of the other legal errors contained in the posting (and there are many), the simple fact is that, with rare exceptions (children of diplomats), everyone born in the United States is a citizen of the United States at birth."

I'm not an Obama supporter (not a McCain supporter, either) but it's just nuts how low people will stoop. Not a citizen? Of course he is.

That old law needs revised anyway so that Arnold can be President.

If you bothered to open the PDF you will see that it is in question if he was born in Kenya or in Hawaii. It is said that his mother was prevented (by the Kenyan authorities) from boarding the plane... thus Obama was born in Kenya. |

Mccain wasnt born in the US
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/28/us.../28mccain.html he was not born on US soil. Mr. McCain’s likely nomination as the Republican candidate for president and the happenstance of his birth in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936 are reviving a musty debate that has surfaced periodically since the founders first set quill to parchment and declared that only a “natural-born citizen” can hold the nation’s highest office. |

It's pretty sad that so many americans actually don't know the true answer.
But hey, I'm used to meeting people who think they need a passport to travel to Hawaii. When their vacation is over they announce they are going back to "The States". |
Interesting read but anything can be written in a suit and just the filing of a suit does not make it fact. This was interesting though....
