damn its just small enough to slither up your nostrils when you're asleep and lodge itself up there...or down your throat or somethin...fuckin snakes i dont mind them but they piss me off always sneaking escaping from their cells then you can never find them

i JUST had a very lucky escape. i turned my back for like 2 minutes and one of my mexican black kingsnakes made off. i found him curled up in the corner behind a cabinet pretty quick though. little bugger had me worried for a minute...

i never feed live mice. froze/thawed is a good habit to keep in. the little snowcorn i picked up today has been fed on live mice, so i got to get him used to eating froze/thawed mice now.

this little guy made an escape on me back in the winter. that one i WAS a little worried about. i sealed off the room and laid out a bunch of paper towel rolls and little catch boxes along the walls and stuff. got him the next morning in a little box. lucky...

What is that and does it bite?

Now that gives me the creeps......snakes were ok, but this thing looks like bad news :helpme

i got him back in the fall. he was a long term captive, probably several years old. totaled just short of a foot in length. posted pictures and details on a couple invertebrate hobbyist forums, and general consensus was that he was one of, if not the largest of his species that most people in the hobby had ever seen.

If he would have bit me, I would have been in some extreme pain, let's just put it that way. Most definitely would have ended with a hospital trip. Only species of centipede on earth with a human death attributed to it...

The fire skink is cool. Are they friendly at all or do they just run from you?

he's a little squirrelly when i first reach in, but once i got a hold of him i can lay down and watch tv and he'll just curl up on my belly and goto sleep. pretty friendly, and never nips or bites. they make good pets. i might adopt a rescued blue tongue skink if no one else takes him in a week or so. quite a bit bigger, but i hear they are very sociable lizards too.

alright that cetepede succesfully creeped me out...if i turned around from my computer desk and that thing was in the middle of my floor i'd shit my pants lol....i wouldnt know wtf to do..i cant jus squash it with a magazine loll..

spiders can be bad too u can squash them easy but cuz theyre faster then fuck if it wants to bite u it can wihtout me knowing

i aint nessecarily scared of those creepy crawlers as long as im in control of them lol if i wake up and see one in my bed or turn around n see one on the floor id freak out....my biggest fear is one getting up on my computer desk beside my arm n biting me lol

i got a big shipment of new spiders coming in, hopefully next week. 5 different species, mature females, and matching mature males for a couple species. gonna get a couple breeding projects going this fall once they show up. should look something like this...

i had a couple of miserable assed geckos who liked to bite, they are long gone now. the skink was a little snippy at first, but he calmed down with some handling. this new snake seems a little sketchy at the moment, but he'll calm down with time too. you gotta expect to get bit sooner or later handling carnivorous animals.

i used to have a pet snake when i was a kid. i found it out in the field beside my house. put in my emptied out fish tank that i put stuff in for him. he was nice till one time the day after christmas i put on this cologne i got and he started biting the fuck out of my arm/wrist where i sprayed it lol. fn pos snake put his bitch ass back in the field.
