Ever since California started this new traffic regulation, people started driving really slow and fucked up.... I hope people learn how to drive especially around San Francisco...

Once time, I had a dumbass going 52 in a 55 on an interstate in the fast lane talking on the phone. I tailgated him. He finally changed lanes and gave me a "WTF" look with his phone still by the side of his dumb head. What irony. Of course, I flicked him off and drove on by.

Tailgating to me is like me saying "excuse me" - my nice way of asking the person in front of me to move. Nothing personal.

I know if I get a tailgater that didn't do a flash first or I obviously can not switch lanes that very damn second due to say semi's on my side. I think I would slow down even more. Fucking hate tailgaters and their complete since of peoples safety.

When I'm in the left lane (even at 100mph+), I'm constantly checking my rear view mirror. I don't get 'flashed' and I don't get tailgated, because I get out of the way when it's warrented.

If you are honestly concerned about people's safety, don't use the passing lane as your personal lane.

Do not assume I stay in the passing lane. Then again I do not drive 100+. I just always get assholes decided to get up on my ass when I am passing a few semi pickups. If you have driven norther I-5 you would know what I am talking about. Now when you have 3-4 semis on one side and decide to pass them at say 70-75. Then I should not be having to deal with some ass clown getting 5 feet from my rear bumper during the process.

I usually don't tailgate if the car in front of me is locked in front and side because there's nothing in the world that they can do about it. It's the bastards that are in the front of the pack and still going the same slow speed limit as the car to their right that pisses me (and the line of cars tailing me) off. You don't have to swerve to the right to get out of the way that exact second but certainly you can attempt to drive 3 mph faster in order to pass the car beside them.

It's like climbing up the escalator and coming up to two people that are standing on the same step, I come up behind them and say excuse me and they move over to let me pass if they can. Same concept. It's not complicated and it's not personal.

I can't agree with you more I hate fucking people going slow in the fast lane. It is also illegal here but they don't enforce it ofcoarse. In Germany they totally enforce all semi's have to be in the very right lane except to pass. You can also only pass on the left and people have to get over. I don't have any tickets btw for those haters lol.

Poland usually move out of the way, especially if you are driving a luxury or sports car. Even on a road with 1 lane each direction, they will drive onto the hard shoulder to let you pass

This happened to me this morning...MOVE THE FUCK OVER!!!! Some stupid bitch putting her makeup on blocked a line of cars from going the speed limit or over..we were forced to go 60 n a 70 zone...I blew my horn at her and kept it there until she got the fuck over! So this guy got infront of her and slammed on his brakes and she freaked..stupid bitch made so many people mad. I am female and it is rule of thumb do your freakin make up at home!!!!!!!:mad:

Anyways, I never tailgate people because there's no point. I'd rather just pass them if I'm in a hurry.. When people are tailgating you, just pull your e-brake while you're going straight!! jk

I wish it was like that here.. If I'm cruising up behind someone on the motorway in my bmw they refuse to move. They try to speed up but by that time I've already had to drop down to 60. Idiots just refuse to move when they see a BMW behind them.

This is my number one driving pet peeve. I always move over to let someone faster pass, no matter what the speed. And I'll also speed up if I need to so he doesn't have to slow down before I can safely move.

I wish they would put signs every 300M, "Keep right except to pass" and "Slower traffic keep right".

Most people from Toronto are pretty good at moving over. The worst offenders I've ever seen were driving between SF and LA. People there just don't seem to give a shit about moving out of your way at all.

same here and it pisses me off when people just cruise in the lane... i do get a bit pissed sometimes and ill pull in front of them and slow down to be a dick so they have to go around, then speed up and drive away... in a small way, i feel im the winner :1orglaugh

If someone comes up behind you, no matter how fast you're driving, you should get the hell out of the way.

It's really that simple folks.

So if you're driving within the law you must yield to those that are breaking it ?

1) It's called the passing lane for a reason and in most states the law clearly says as much.

2) Forcing those behind you to pass in one of the lanes intended for slower traffic creates a greater hazard for all.

No, it doesn't.

If the law says the speed limit is 65 mph and someone is driving 50 mph in the left lane the it would make sense for them to move over for someone that is driving faster.

If the law says the speed limit is 65 mph and two drivers are doing 65 mph in both lanes and someone is driving OVER the speed limit behind them, are the two drivers who are doing the posted speed limit required to yield to the driver that is breaking the speed limit?

It sounds like what you are saying is the right lane is for people that do the speed limit or slower and the left lane or passing lane is for people that drive as fast as they want
