I live in the uk and have not noticed any difference in the way of life because of muslims. I would say americans notice a much bigger difference because of mexicans than we do muslims. I think some americans might read certain news sources and get a picture of europe which is very different from reality. Much like people in europe who think all americans are obese and stupid, im sure they are not.

The only non-polish people we have here are turkish. As far as I can tell, they all either:

So far there's no difference to more Muslims living in Scotland that I see. Apart from that shit in the paper the other day about the advert for the puppy. I think there might be a different view coming from people in England tho. Scotland is a small country and not exactly popular. Its mostly Polish people who are coming here for work and so on since Poland came into the EU.

Some years ago there was the myth about US, it was some kind of wonderland, the movies did a well job as propaganda or something like that, damn America America, everyone with the pocket full of money, no homeless people, "the good guys" myth and "cops of the world", and so on.
With the globalisation, 9/11 and other shit, the rest of the world realised that there are problems like everywhere, and yes there is idea that US is made of stupid and obese people.

See, I'm interested specifically in Muslims because the core of the belief is so unmoving.

Races, for the most part, can blend in anywhere. People tend to blend, taking on some of the local traditions, mixing them with their own. At least that's what I've seen.

Religion, on the other hand, has a hard fast set of rules. You must do this, you must do that, and tends to cause islands of culture, which is in my mind disruptive to the existing culture. This causes tension.

That does not compute. There is no more interbred country on Earth than the U.S.

I was in Turkey recently and the girls there are super hot! Only saw the occasional one with a head scarf, not one with a veil. Most of them were wearing mini skirts and small tops.

You have to give Muslims in the UK some credit for slowly starting to modernize. I was reading the other day about a Mosque in London (I think) that now allows specific breeds of non drooly dogs inside as guide dogs. That's quite the step forward, all things considered.
