wtf! - my neighbor is painting his house the exact same color as mine
 

This is my next door neighbor, I painted my house last year with a color called hopsack - see below.

Today there is a paint crew at my neighbors house painting it pretty much the exact same color. The boss of the crew came over and asked if he could put some plastic over my shrubs in case there was over spray. I looked at the side of the house they had done, looked at my house and the guy goes "yeah, I didnt pick the color, i'm just putting it on"

I know he has every right to paint his house whatever color he wants but you would think he would choose something a little different :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I spent a lot of time prepping and painting, now I think I might have to go do it all over again.

thats the problem, my house was built in the 50's and they did 5 styles in our 4 block area. his happens to be the same style as mine.

Pretty strange since it was a poodle color before.

My theory is that he has seen plenty of hot chicks go into your house... under the assumption that they are not very smart he arrived to the conclusion that if they mistake his house with yours he'll get as much action as you do ;)

Paint yours dayglow orange. Or chartreuse. Then let the grass get knee high and board up your windows. Paint graffiti on the boards too, especially a big "FUK U" in a prominent location. Save your garbage for the week, and give your horrible yard that "strewn with garbage" look.. Call the appraisers giving your neighbors address.

Atom, just paint your trim a different color. That should be enough to differentiate the two houses.

that happened to the people that live next door to me...their neighbors on the other side copied their house. trust me, it looks retarded to see two almost identical houses next to each other!!

Is it really worth the time and the effort to change something as little as that? Take it as a compliment that somebody likes your taste and is painting:thumbsup their house the same color.

Living in a community where most of the houses are log, log sided or wood sided, most of the houses here are the same color. Then again, most of us can't see our neighbor's houses from our house so we don't care :)
